A kind, caring, judicious man who understands that the letter of the law doesn't always lead to justice. May his years be many and his troubles few.

Wise, calm, willing to guide pro se defendants through the process, understands that the intent of the law can at times be more just than the letter of the law.

Total moron. Sometimes I wonder if there is an exam for judges and the worse candidates with a hopeless score get the UD, small claims, and traffic courts, because that's where they can cause the least damage to the system. You know, not much is expected there, almost all cases are a slam-dunk, no brain involved. Were you speeding? Guilty. Did you not pay rent? Evicted... It's like they are not even real judges (thank God for small mercies), they are at the level of a somewhat educated layperson with minimal legal knowledge but definitely with good connections or excellent ass-kissing skills so they can get appointed and save themselves a big-time failure in private practice, where the unsuitable and brainless would not survive. Here, they just get reappointed automatically, because the public doesn't really care who are the judges, most of the time they vote based on their names or party affiliation. Judge Amerian is ignorant of the law. Cannot handle anything a bit more complex than with his every-day "No rent, No Apartment" level. But since he is low profile, probably nobody really bothers to appeal his decision. His stupidity hurts, his judgments not so much. His decisions are inconsequential, so it doesn't really matter what he decides, no matter how horribly stupid he is. He is just disturbingly brainless. I can't believe he finished USC. I wonder if he was a member of the rowing team... Anyway, it is a big failure of the justice system that he is employed as a judge. And his quite young, so you could enjoy him for 20-some years before he'll become an arbitrator. Hopefully, he will never get promoted to some higher position because then the appellate court will get busy overturning his decisions. He cannot handle anything more complex than a regular UD matter. Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here, except if you have a regular UD with no defendant appearing. Then, he is able to handle it. But that is his level. Nothing more complicated. Paper him, if you have an actual legal issue because he will not comprehend it. Although, the rest of the UD judges are pretty much at the same level, so might as well keep him and hope against hope that he would take some time to research the issue before ruling on it (he won't).

Judge Michael Amerian does NOT possess the qualities necessary of a judge. Michael Amerian lacks professionalism, impartiality, fairness, the ability to apply the law to his rulings, and, worst of all, he lacks ethics. He renders rulings and judgements based upon word-of-mouth of his fellow judges and acts solely to earn and return chits (favors) among other judges aka the Good Ole Boy network. Any litigant who is facing off with another vexatious, dishonest litigant, in the court of Michael Amerian, indeed always loses. This renders said litigant the victim. I have had the misfortune of being in his court room against a plaintiff who filed a malicious case against me. I presented solid evidence that I was not a party to this plaintiff's malicious actions. However, even before the trial phase began, Michael Amerian had absolutely made up his mind as to my alleged "guilt." When the case was continued & I legally filed a Preemptory Challenge, his buddy Walmark ILLEGALY & without cause denied my filing. This is how Amerian works: With the insidious Buddy System, so that innocent litigants do NOT stand a chance. And if this post is removed, then I KNOW that this site is as biased as Amerian himself and this will be the evidence. That is when I will publicly expose this site on ripoffreport.com, where posts are never removed under any circumstance.

He abused this discretion in a way where children will suffer all their lives, not in the best interest of the children. He is patient, but being a parent and having experience in family law helps. I am sorry, but I had higher expectaions.
