So it wasnt just me according to the statements below. She has retired and I think the world is better off. Had her in probate. 2 years of no responses to motions, no hearings, nada. What a waste of taxpayer money

Non contested case. Numerous motions filed. She responded to only 1 in 2 years. That was to hunt far and wide for an excuse to simply strike the case. Read that again. She filed a strike against a Summary Judgement uncontested 2 year old case. At stake were the wellfare of 2 small children. She respondended to the case only twice in two years. No lie. The clerks of her court? You dont want to go there. Lied to several times.

Comments:
18+ years as a trial lawyer, never before have I seen on display in front of me and my client the blatant disrespect for the law. Incongruous reaction to all exhibits mentioned. The law does work, however if you seek a fair turnout, don't bring in your male client in front of her.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comments:
I've dealt with timid or introvert clients on a daily basis, however upon requesting a short break during open hearing, I realized my eyes weren't fully open to what exactly was happening in front of me; my client was absolutely terrified of Judge Blackwell.

This was a divorce matter where the mother gave claims against father, verbal claims nothing else. For reasons unknown at this time, Judge Blackwell suspended visitation indefinitely for my client. The buffoonery in which Judge Blackwell conducted herself against my client is not to be taken lightly, she truly was hostile in a most unsettling matter, while on the other hand supporting mother in a mensch capacity.

Does not know Mandatory Disclosure Rules and does not ensure that the civil liberties of a pro se litigant is not violated in any way, she expects the party to hire a lawyer to ensure that.

If you have a female client seek Judge Blackwell.

Comments:
I was appalled at Judge Alice Blackwell and her treatment of pro se litigants. She has no respect, time or patients. She would rather preside over lawyers. She dictates from the bench and oversteps her authority.
