Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: 12907
Rating:2.8
Comments:
If one of his friends is involved in case on the other side, you lose. Even if the friend merely shows up to sit at counsel table. Progressive to the point of follwing extreme minority views over large majority views if extra-legal conditions exist.

In way over his head. Wasn't much of lawyer and even drowning even more as a judge.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: 8332
Rating:8.3
Comments:
A very courteous and civil jurist. Mild-mannered, he will allow you to make your case. He is well-prepared when he takes the bench. When it comes to decision-making, however, he is very stubborn and is extremely difficult to move off his predetermined position.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: 2864
Rating:10.0
Comments:
I have only had a civil case before Judge Borman, not a criminal case. In my case, Judge Borman was always prepared in all aspects of the case - he had read (and, it seemed, memorized) all of the pleadings, he had done research on the various issues, he had the case law organized and readily available, and had apparently memorized that, too. He was always courteous and punctual, and held us all to the same standards. In short, he truly was what all judges - federal or state - should aspire to be.
