He has retired from the bench, thank God.

I have been before Judge Rosen, and I have found him to be intelligent, articulate, and extremely solid on the law. I truly appreciated his reinforcement of the law in a case I had before him a few years ago in a case in which the defendant was blatantly disobeying the Court's prior orders. He issued a bench warrant for the defendant and made the guy obey the law and show up where he was supposed to be. Awesome judge!

Judge Rosen is always extremely well-prepared. He will know the record of the case inside and out. If he conducts oral arguments on a dispositive motion, they will be lengthy and very probing. He is very bright, but unfortunately quite biased against plaintiffs in employment, civil rights and personal injury litigation. He plays a hands-on role in settlement conferences, and will dedicate substantial time to trying to settle cases. He just needs to learn to be more fair to individual litigants in employment, civil rights and personal injury cases.

This idiot was a visiting judge years ago in the EDNY. The courthouse had to be aired out for days after he was returned to the cave from whence he came. Discourteous, insulting, petty, childish---and these are some of his better traits. He should not be trusted to go out for sandwiches in a lunch order, much less be entrusted with the serious judicial responsibilities his position demands. A good example of why judges should not be hand picked by political hacks.

Rater questions Judge Rosen's jurisprudence in police misconduct cases.
