He has made a very narrow minded ruling against Locast which has left 300 million people without television services. During these times of pandemic and political upheaval is not a time to take this important communication away from people. Everyone cannot afford cable tv and many cannot get reception over the air because of their location. Locast provides a very important and essential service to people and by the way a donation WAS NOT REQUIRED to watch Locast.

Terrible Judge.
His decisions were always criticized or overruled.
He even dismissed the SEC's civil claims against Madoff. He froze the Madoff accounts that had no money and dismissed all claims never allowing any discovery. There were $17 billion missing and Madoff's lifestyle could not possibly have spend that much money in 6 years. The obvious question was what happened and who had the $17 billion.
At 93 and given all his terrible decisions he should have retired and quit the bench years ago.

Totally ignored and did not understand the evidence against Quincy Bioscience. As a result, hundreds if not thousands, of seniors have been bilked by this unscrupulous company.

Agree that he is an old-line gentleman personality, but can be a little surly and smug. Entertains ridiculous arguments and does not cut to the chase. Leans towards the defense. Gave me very little discovery. Also did not issue an order after oral argument on motion, but instead verbally gave his ruling. Of course, this leads to a difference of understanding between the parties later on down the road.

Judge Stanton is very smart, very experienced and very practical. If you know what you are talking about and are well-prepared you'll do fine. BS definitely fails with him. He is an old-line gentleman personally.
