Judge ignored when the defendant was speaking or even the defense attorney as well as family members which was very uncomfortable in a very uncomfortable situation that it is.

What a poor excuse for a judge. During my sons trial while his attorney was presenting his case, this judge was yawning, shuffling papers & just about falling asleep. From the sentence he gave my son it was so obvious he never read all the evidence. My son fought for his country, did 2 tours in Iraq, & this judge had no respect for him and what he went through.

This Judge, U.S. District Judge Peter G. Sheridan, hand picked a biased jury, invoked the Prosecutions expert witness to lie and participated in coercion of this expert witness and the jury to find guilty without true due process or factual evidence of dog fighting in a recent dog fighting ring case involving 4 defendants who did not even know each other. This Judge should be impeached and this case be dismissed for lack of factual evidence. The jury was pooled from another county and all were non minority, biased and coached. Appalling that our justice system has come to this. Guilty before proven innocent.

Lazy. Flippant. Clearly no care for the outcome or impact of obviously biased decisions. Entirely political. Another waste of tax dollars.

Very poor representation of a judge. Not aware of even basic legal theory points, no depth of cognitive skills. Was a political hack in his early years and that shows up in his pro-big business stance.

Renewed discussions about impeachment gaining momentum.

Several victims of Judicial bias/prejudice have recently come forward to compare notes about how Sheridan's steers the outcome of trials to favor select parties, where otherwise, if a Jury Trial Judge did follow Process and Procedure to the letter, the outcome of the case would be far different.

Some of Sheridan's violations are subtle, while others are shockingly in-your-face broad daylight public record.

Immunity is not absolute when it repeatedly violates due process and civil rights under Section 1983.

Judge Sheridan is so biased in favor of big business that it is sickening. He does not understand the rules of evidence or he does not care about them. He is impatient with civil rights cases in the only forum that many Americans have to vindicate their rights. This is truly sad. He tries very hard to live up to what Bush sent him here for: to protect the rights of big corporations at the expense of the little guy. If you are looking for a fair trial, look elsewhere.

Whisper reports that several congressman have been contacted seeking support for Sheridan's impeachment.

Only 15 Federal Judges have been impeached in U.S. History before.

Reportedly, Congressmen in NJ, DC, NY, IL, CA, and KY have been contacted.

Careless, caters to lawyers who lie to him. Sheridan falls asleep while making $165,000, does not care about the law, the facts, or the court rules and makes you know he "doesn't want to be bothered" by anything that resembles truth or justice.

With Judges like Sheridan on the bench its no wonder businesses leave the U.S. because he only practices Kleptocracy.

His Orders are not printed on paper soft enough to be useful.

Too many people believe this Judge should not be on the bench. Perhaps his time has come for voluntary retirement or impeachment?

I would support and endorse either as well.

Horrible. Injects himself in settlement negotiations and tries to strong arm clients. Does not grasp complex legal issues and gives illogical opinions. Not interested in trying civil cases. Only interested in disposing of them. A shame.

Unable to differentiate between the truth and a lie. Demonstrates inability to competently reason when making either bench decisions or writing Memorandum briefs.

"Justifies" is reasoning with justifications, not case law or rules.

Ignores rules. Ineffective at administering Justice.

Almost comical that he is a life-appointed Federal Judge if not for placing people's lives and businesses on hold until he is moved to act by the greater of two evils.

Lacks common sense. Lacks Court-Balls.

Condescending.

Cowardice.

Time to rebuild the system from the top down.

Here we go!

Ridculous comments from litigants who are obviously pro se or bad lawyers who couldn't prepare a winning case or defense. Losers.

Simply substandard in the extreme. This man is a incredibly slow, gives no indication of even having taken the time to read submissions and has essentially no analytical or legal skills.

About as bad a judge you can ever get, let alone in the District Court. From what I understand, Judge Sheridan is not, and never was, a litigator. This is exceedingly evident in his rulings. He sits on simple motions for an average of at least 8 months and gives short, conclusory decisions which not only do not analyze either party's legal or factual allegations with even the slightest degree of care, accuracy or intellect, but they rely on non-existent claims which he makes up and a complete disregard for all of the effort the litigants put into their papers. His decisions are simply manufactured in thin air, ignore all legal precedent and common sense, and do not reflect any understanding of the issues before him. Does not belong on the bench.

A horrible judge who is an embarassment to the court and our legal system as a whole. In my case, i listed eight proven errors where this judge cites wrong dates, made up evidence, cites evidence that is nowhere on the record and...remarkably is still allowed to remain on the bench.

Horrible. I have never seen a Judge disregard not only evidence but the law as well. What a disgrace. I wouldn't mind if he ruled against me after analyzing the case and giving some reasonable decision. But he ignored the parties' joint request for a hearing. Clearly there is some type of timetable for deciding appeals from the Bankruptcy Court because he let the case sit dormant for close to a year. A week before the case hit its one year mark, he asked me for another copy of my brief and suddenly he wrote his decision in TWO DAYS! How can a judge say that another judge's decision was thorough when he never even had in his possession as part of the record the evidence from the prior case. Without comparing the evidence to the decision, this "gentleman" made such absurd findings and resorted to name calling. He actually wrote that a Bankruptcy Judge is too busy to conduct a full hearing on a case. After the conclusion of my case (which is on appeal) I discovered that he tried to decide another case without disclosing that he had a clear conflict of interest. When the lawyer called him on it, he or another judge (not sure who) ordered a retrial. I can only hope that his children come up in front of someone as biased, prejudiced and incompetent as Judge Peter G. Sheridan so that he understands the consequences of his actions. I don't know what kind of lawyer he was, but as a Judge, holding people's lives in his hands, he is a complete failure.

This Bush appointed judge is the most incompetent, pedantic and pedestrian judge in the District Court of NJ. In his short tenure on the court...he has more appeals ( per capita ) against him than any other judge.

Displayed an appalling lack of knowledge of basic, well-established rules of law and basic civil procedure in constitutional torts case. Good demeanor, and punctual in his rulings, but not qualified to be a federal judge.
