Civil Litigation - Private

I believe my matter was one of Judge Davis' first patent infringement cases ($500M potential liability). Although it's been a few years since the trial, it is certainly one of my most memorable and even favorite trials. The Judge was impressive. He was prepared, intuitive, decisive, and no-nonsense, but with a huge sense of humor. We were able to see him switch gears from civil to criminal, as he invited the civil litigators to sit in on a criminal matter that he had to hear while we waited for the jury in our case. What a culture shock and yet the Judge transitioned seamlessly. We could use many more judges like Judge Davis.

Judge Davis shows a great deal of Bias and permits himself to be lobbied. He is also very arrogrant tords pro se litigants and assumes people lack even the basic knowledge of laws. He also disregards prior rulings made by the court.he also fails to consider evidence placed before him.

This judge behaves like a bully, and is more interested in establishing his superiority; he is more interested in power than in the law.

Judge Legrome Davis seems much more interested in pontificating on the facts as he imagines them to be, rather than as laid out before him in a court of law. He suffers from an extreme case of hubris. It's sad, really, especially for all of the unlucky people who end up in his court.

This man is a disgrace. Vindictive, arrogant, and mean-spirited. Very impressed with himself, unjustifiedly so.

Just ignorant. Needs to remember that he puts his pants on one leg at a time like everybody else. Talks down to everyone in the courtroom from attorneys to defendants.
