Judge Marber is fair to all Parties. She is respectful of attorneys and hears out their arguments. I've never had a problem with her, although I have never tried a case before her.

Could be the dumbest Judge on the bench. Favors the defendants. Her biggest problem is she thinks she is intelligent.

Comments:
Biased against Plaintiffs. Brags that her skills can settle $12,000 cases. Has no ability to think outside the box. Simply has zero oral or reading comprehension. In the face of conflicts in testimony offers an opinion that the testimony is consistent.

Comments:
My experience is quite the contrary to those testimonials appearing here. I have found Judge Marber to be fair and deliberative, her opinions well reasoned (even if, hypothetically, I was on the wrong end of one) and pleasant to appear before. I've never seen her act vindictively or allow her ego to enter the courtroom or accompany her to the bench. The robes are plain black for a reason. They are a mask of sorts, a statement of "sameness" or uniformity of interest in justice. Justice may be reached by different paths, and Judge Marber's path may be different from, perhaps, either of the two Judge Murphys sitting down the hallway, but it is justice that they administer. And as one commentator pointed out, if one disagrees with the Judge's Decision and Order, one always has an avenue of appeal. A

Unfortunately this judge lets her court attorney decide cases for her before trial instead of listening to the evidence and deciding the case herself.

Maybe they should cut her salary and give the balance to others who feel their role to be a judge is to listen to lawyers and not just to flail. The woman has a big reversal rate.

Comments:
It is a shame that the Nassau bar that has so many talented jurists is sullied by a mean spirited, nasty, opinionated and over her head judge such as Marber. Ask just about any lawyer and you will get a similar opinion. If the democrats nominate her again they will just be driving those in the know to the republican line.

Comments:
Judge Marber seems to have become increasingly frustrated in carrying out her responsibilities, and it is a mystery as to why this is. As a Law Secretary, she was very evenhanded, deliberative, thoughtful and respectful to attorneys. Now she seems unable to focus on the matter at hand and renders decisions that are poorly thought through, seemingly without concern over how an incorrect decision will impact a litigant. If she could "get it together" as she was in the past, she could be a good judge. One wonders whether this will ever happen. Seems she may have fallen victim to the black robe disease.

The nastiest judge I've ever come across. She does not have a clue about the law.

Can be very nasty, and appears to want a reputation as a toughie. However, she will push parties to settle when in her opinion it is really only about money.
