Disregarded court appointed advisor's opinion and ruled in favor of 50/50 custody. Opposing parent admitted to felony child endangerment on the stand. Opposing parent also married to someone who physically and emotionally abused children and placed them in physical danger multiple times. Opposing parent admitted to refusal to coparent. Also has been to jail for contempt of court for failure to comply with child support My lawyer was floored by the ruling, my kids and I were devastated. This has negatively affected their childhoods and my life. Trial and attorney fees were a waste bc he was clearly going to rule in favor of the father no matter what.

One mistake after another and another. He ruled on "credible opinion" and he DISREGARDED 100% EVIDENCE. He made so many mistakes my Attorney took my case to the Court of Appeals (COA). The COA told him to include specific evidence.
He indeed allowed the evidence during trial, then made his ruling on "credible opinion" and disregarded the evidence the COA told him to rule on. He ruled on issues that were non issues, and failed to rule on the issues that were before him. This trial has cost me $250 thousand and 7 years of hell. All because of his incompetence.

He allowed and tolerated husband to change in his testimony again and again and again. He refused the motion to hold husband accountable for perjury. He allowed Husband to violate the temporary orders 5 times. He allowed harassment. He did nothing to protect the woman from the violence of the man. After 7 years, I got a new judge. The new judge got the parties to settle in 30 minutes!!!!

Just as others have said he is very biased towards fathers. It should be 50/50 custody for both parents. Didn't take many matters into account even though my ex was in contempt. We have been in front of him a couple times and both times I was treated unfairly.

Completely pro father and doesn't even follow what he orders to be done. In my experience he still sided with father even after father openly admitted to not following court orders or even spending time with child. He completely ignored documents showing father is unfit

Doesn’t think for himself and truly assess each case on an individual basis. Instead follows basic protocol, even at the expense of the child. Have a17 year old that is being forced into therapeutic intervention even though her noncustodial parent was extremely abusive.

Extremely biased against mothers. Completely pro father. Continuously entertains motions based on hearsay, even after proven to be lies and proven unsubstantiated. Ripped a baby away from a perfectly fit mother, who has other children full time from a previous relationship. Obviously doesn't care about the best interest of the child. Complete disgrace to AZ Judical system and has killed my faith in Arizona's legal proceedings. Thanks for ruining the lives of not just one child, but many others. I'm not sure how this judge sleeps at night.

Doesn’t make tough decisions always says matter under advisement also he doesn’t really look at what the allowed expenses are on someone’s child support as he messed upon child support calculation. Going through a crazy custody battle where my ex keeps allegations after allegations and all have been shut down and this guy keeps entertaining it by not allowing kid to see father. He will not invest any of his time to probably one of his most complex cases as it requires believing one over other he only wants black and white decisions and this is far from that case. Run if you have a complex case he doesn’t have the ability to handle it and if he does hope, he starts acting like it soon as it’s been over a year and there is no viable police report other than all unsubstantiated cases!!!!!!

I was so nervous coming to court without a lawyer and I was able to watch a hearing before mine started. I was so relieved to see how pleasant, calm, and sincere Judge Whitehead was with the mother and father in the hearing that I watched. It really put me at ease. He treated me and my ex with the same kindness and I am so thankful to have had my case assigned to this judge.

This judge has gone against several Arizona Revised Statutes in my family case. He has no regard for the well-being of the children. There was a 3rd-party recommendation which was completely ignored. My advice? CHANGE JUDGES while you can. He comes from a criminal background and knows NOTHING about family court. What a disservice to my children.
