Enables court clerks to have ex parte communication with prosecutor. Gives legal advice to the city attorney to help them. Handled a case that was overturned on appeal and when Groch discovered another error by the judge from the original case he allowed the prosecutor to correct it which prevented defense from being able obtain important discovery.

you cannot have ex parte contact with a prosecutor when you were challenged on a case. defendant filed a peremptory challenge against you at arraignment but Duffy did not put in her notes. I told clerk . On Oct 2 Patrick tried to bring you back when defendant was not there.

The Defendant only had speaker phone during the Covid virus. Therefore, I heard his clerk saying he had other cases besides her. In conclusion, he could not do her prelimerly hearing during the virus. Also heard his bias approach in the courtroom. Judge Groach was bias in his room, yelling, raising his voice, and doing everything he could to help the procepcution. He constantly attempted to get her to waive hearing dates. He is too bias to be a judge and the comments by his clerk are outrageous.

I came to the court with fear and asking for dismissing my restraining order, but he didn't listen to me , because He felt that is not good for my cases, and the way that he talked to me, gave me encouragement...He sent me to see a counselor and gave me the other appointment ... Thank you so much...

Judge Groch is an incredibly smart individual and an excellent jurist. Though likely liberal by nature, he comes from the District Attorney's office, which generally makes one lean a bit to the conservative side. I've only had one occasion to appear before Judge Groch, and he was incredibly polite and thoughtful. He likely let me argue longer than I deserved. Though he disagreed with my client's position, his demeanor was exemplary.
