Trust the REAL comments. Those complaining about Kin's bias, his inability to comprehend simple arguments, his lack of general understanding with respect to basic legal concepts, his awkward ability to make hearings more about him than the matter at hand, etc.
Keep in mind, this judge was neither appointed nor elected: he submitted candidacy which was uncontested TWICE, so BY DEFAULT he became the worst judge in Stanley Mosk until 2027. Some have suggested he's a plant, and for those that know he can be manipulated, they love that they can rely on him for a lack of justice in favor of the side he personally prefers.

This judge is the worst in Stanley Mosk and that is a bold statement for Stanley Mosk. Thinks he is the greatest thing since slice bread. Railroaded my client based merely on the color of his skin. Hates African Americans.

This guy is obviously the smartest judge in LA County, just ask him. I’m surprised comments about him are limited. Post -COVID there will be more and more. Worst judge in Stanley Mosk, you’ll understand why after appearing in front of him. He does have a strong bias and little regard for litigants.

General inclination is pro racists. If you are of color, stay away from this guy. If your opponents are Asians, stay away from this guy. How this guy became a judge is a crime.

Curtis Kin will make faces in open court showing his obvious bias and displeasure of defendants. He is biased towards prosecution oftentimes coming down with harsher sentences than is recommended by the trial prosecutor. He looks for every opportunity to punish defendants.

Judge Kin is an excellent Judge. He has a prosecutorial background which allows him to hold the prosecutors to their standard of proof. He regularly affords defendants the benefit of the doubt when good faith efforts have been made by the defendants to comply with the terms of their sentencing but have fallen short. He ensures that everyone in the courtroom understands their positions and rights. Judge Kin is a major asset to the legal community in general and Pasadena in particular.
