Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA32614
Rating:2.3
Comments:
Hates plaintiffs. Bounce him first chance. Doesn't recognize established, black-letter law on discovery motions and bolsters his bad decision with a sanctions order. Won't permit plaintiff to vigorous cross-examination during trial. Either doesn't know evidence law or doesn't care. A bitter fellow.

Prosecutor

Comment #: CA14715
Rating:10.0
Comments:
Outanding scholarship. As a trial judge, applies the facts, written law and case law precedent, as they are. To be clear — does not substitute or inject his views to reach a decision inconsistent with same to appeal or curry favor with unthinking, outcome-oriented onlookers. Bottom line — a fair and courageous judge.

Seems unable to recognize and manage his own bias. Good judges, no matter their background, are able to keep an even keel in their decision-making. I would avoid his courtroom at all costs if you do not belong to his world. Ideological.

What a lunkhead. If you read the actual order in the cake bakers case you cannot help but laugh. Glad this judge never made it to the Appellate Court.

Clearly this man does not understand the Constitution's Equal Protection clause as embedded in the 14th Amendment.

To try and use a sophist argument that a cake is "free speech" is absurd.

How could a judge vote religion over the basic right of citizen. Lord and savior are believes not a right that can be used against other american citizen. Glad to know that freedom will prevail. All Americans gave a right to purchase items in a public business, no matter who the are. This judge is not a judge that sees the truth in the rights for all people.

I do believe he is receiving his 15 minutes of fame with his recent decision regarding a baker. Having been appointed by Gov. Swarzenegger, my guess is he is a Republican with an anti LGBTQ bias.

Miserable; chooses outcomes to suit his bias and then twists case law to support those outcomes. "First the verdict, then the trial" -- that's our David.

I just want to thank Judge Lampe for not allowing the state of California to persecute a local bakery and baker for her Christian beliefs. Thank you.

170.6 Immediately if you get the chance. So biased, ignorant, rude, and impatient. Rumor is that he has a chip on his shoulder because he's not smart enough to be on the appellate panel. Has relationship with certain "local counsels" that will severely handicap you if you aren't one of them. Go for the other two judges if you can, Chapin or Clark, and you will much more fair hearing or trial.
