I have to admit that I significantly underestimated this Judge. I initially thought he was too lackadaisical and did not always do his homework. I was wrong. I now see he runs his Courtroom with a laid back style, but he cares about the outcome. The not doing his homework was really more a matter of him having an overwhelming number of cases. I now see he is thoughtful, very bright, fair and really cares about "getting it right". Unfortunately for the readers of this, I think he is retiring soon so you may never have the pleasure of having a case with him, but I now think he is one of the best judges at Stanley Mosk. Highly recommend.

This judge sucks off the teat of taxpayer money and won't do his job. He refuses to hear cases because he has pre-set vacations and is plans to retire next year. If you're incapable of handling a case, move it to a courtroom that can handle it instead of setting it in limbo until kingdom come. He stands in the way of justice. What a reputation to end a career on. Just keep this in mind if he ever plans on being a private mediator/arb judge. You're ruining your business if you hire him

Fraud had been committed in judge Klein's courtroom my attorney wouldn't even speak up for me when I fired her and represented myself in the probate court with judge Kline I never got to speak on my behalf I asked him if I could have a subpoena 2 subpoena the bank and he told me if I can pay their way from Wilmington Delaware and their cost for staying until they testify for me then he would give me this subpoena I had to file a few waiver to file my own papers there's no way I could do that so in other words our inheritance was taken from us and judge Klein didn't even care some man not even related to us walked away with my mother's life insurance and our inheritance our mother left us and we provided proof of fraud

Huge ego, rude and shows favoritism in courtroom. Does not read anything about case, more interested in chatting up his buddy attorneys about concerts and sports. Ready to retire and good riddance once he does.

I cannot comment on Judge Klein's abilities in criminal court as I have no experience with him on those issue. My experience has been with him in probate trials when he moved to the probate bench Although he cam from an entirely criminal background as a judge and a lawyer before that, he seems to have come to a strong knowledge of the law in probate and grasps the complexities of probate.
He appears to give pro per litigants a fair opportunity to be heard in front of him. I have found him to be a fair minded judge who is polite and evenhanded with all who come before him.

This Judge is a true idiot in every sense of the word. He doesn't even remember the facts or look at the evidence presented. He is a terrible judge of character and will crucify you before trial even begins. I pray for you if you get this idiot. He will throw the book at you, especially if you are innocent.

This is by far the least capable judge I have appeared before in more than 20 years of practice. He is ill prepared, often appearing not to even recall which case he is ruling on. Even worse, he never seems to understand the nature of what he is ruling on. At a hearing on a petition to approve a settlement, for example, he asked whether the parties believed they would ever be able to settle the dispute! The pleading before him for decision was a petition to approve the settlement of the dispute, which included a copy of a written settlement agreement signed by the parties. In another matter, Judge Klein held a hearing on damages BEFORE determining whether there was liability. A year later, he ruled that he must have found liability, even though he had expressly said during the trial that he was reserving the issue until later. This judge is utterly clueless. Paper him every time.

This Judge should be recalled. He is not concerned with the letter of the law. If you are seeking justice, please look elsewhere!

He seems as though he is more concerned with removing cases from his desk quickly rather than following the letter of the law or pursuing justice for that matter. Quite arrogant as well.
