Civil Litigation - Private

Comments:
I have appeared before judge Levine perhaps 7-9 times in Dept. 77 (LA Downtown Sup.Ct. Limited Jurisdiction).
Uses the bench to vent (she actually becomes belligerent in tone and manner).
Brings her personal troubles and animus to court.
Makes rulings without providing any supportive legal authority.
Appearance is disheveled.
On one occasion, opposing counsel's motion was tentatively granted, yet she allowed him to argue first and then when he was finished, she put a rubberband around the court's file and started to call the next case. I had to request to be heard, to which she said alright, but rested her head on her hand and closed her eyes. 18 years as a litigator and without a doubt, she is the absolute worst judge ever and should be removed from the bench.
Routinely grants 100% of requested sanctions...beware.
Have witnessed several other attorneys in court threaten to sue her individually because of her abuse of discretion.
Get ready for the twilight zone.
