Litigant

Rating:1.0
Comments:
Judge Amara Lee was late for the Court trial. She did not prepare the case and allowed a party to present a huge volume of document on the same day of trial. That party failed to provide the document to another party. Never heard of any similar case like this one. Judge Amara Lee did not listen to another party carefully at the trial and accused her changing the story.

Furthermore, Judge Amara Lee said to another party "you filed this domestic violence case is for the money." She refused to take another party's two wounded pictures from her violent spouse.

Civil Litigation - Govt.

Rating:1.1
Comments:
Amara Lee is the biggest phony in San Mateo County. She lives in Alameda County and doesn't even show up for work. Find ONE significant case Ms. Lee has done and I'll apologize. When you lie about your background, there is no defense. Lazy, self-absorbed, seeking awards and cash and prizes for nothing at all.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA33486
Rating:9.9
Comments:
Judge Amara Lee thoroughly prepares - typically reading all pleadings one week before the hearing. She is familiar with the case, really means it when she tells counsel "I've read everything that has been timely filed." She is patient but firm, fair yet just, tough while kind. She pays attention to the details which is refreshing. San Mateo County is very lucky to have Judge Amara Lee. We all know there are plenty of while-male (and female) judges from San Mateo County District Attorney's office. It is nice to have a woman from another county to bring a fresh perspective and even hand to this county's bench.
