Litigant

Comment #: CA5386
Rating:1.0
Comments:
He seems like a really nice person but in actuality is just another disappointing probate judge: too disinterested to correctly apply the law and too opinionated to admit when he is wrong. A sad reflection of what a judge is supposed to be.

The probate department downtown is a failure - too broken to fix.

Comments:
He is unethical and a fraud. He does not appear very intelligent. That's probably why he could not succeed in the private sector.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA3597
Rating:1.6
Comments:
This judge has the unfortunate combination of arrogance and stupidity. He does not understand or apply the law properly. He brings his own personal bias to the case and disregards experts that he himself appointed. He does not know how to manage his calendar. When he is not sure what to do, he simply continues a matter. He flip-flops on his position on issues from hearing to hearing. Based on the books he leaves on the table in his chambers, it appears he idolizes Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia. File a 170.6 as soon as your case is assigned to Steele.
