Comment CA44501 is written by someone who lost their case and wants to play the race card, complete garbage. She's a good judge, smart, and practices civility. I have no problem having cases in her courtroom, and don't 170.6 her.

Teacher discipline cases do not get a fair hearing in this department. In most recent case, 2 of 3 parties NEVER appeared and the only active party was in default until 13 days before hearing -- but totally ignored fact she had no jurisdiction to hear the case.
Multiple Requests to enter default were rejected out of hand. No patience for pro per client but plenty for the school district with at least 3 lawyers on every case. Ignores argument, compliance with deadlines (if school district) strictly applies deadlines to teachers. In current case she had already adopted the tentative filed at 9:29 as the final at 9:30 but hearing was not held until 10:45. If that wasn't enough, she changed the final order without notice and directed her clerk to serve only the pro per but not her lawyer.
Tentative was drafted in support of school district before any pleadings filed. Does not require school districts to comply with rules but strictly enforces them, with glaring looks and condecending tone, if pro per. I am unaware of any teacher dismissal case that got a fair hearing before her. She is an embarrassment to the legal profession. I am filing a complaint with the CJP in addition to this. (Admitted to bar in 1980, beat Johnny Cochran, not a snowflake, first complaint, ever.)

[redacted by Ed.] She does not have capacity to work as judge. She did not get elected in 2022 . Newscam appointed her without election. On 12/6/22 [redacted by Ed.] She treated female physician of color ( plaintiff) as second class citizen and ruled in favor of white blond defendant despite many gross evidence and her own rulings in favor of plaintiff few months back . [redacted by Ed.] She destroyed Whistleblower physician’s live who was victim of sexual harassment and capricious and arbitrarily decisions by bribed traitors

She is the WORST Judge I have been in front of in my 19 years of practice in courts throughout California.

She is biased against parties based upon her own personal thoughts rather than a fair application of the law!

She is also petty and mean spirted.

Avoid this Judge at all costs because you will never see justice in front of her. She should be removed from the bench.

"judge" Strobel ignored 2010 Grand Jury Report, LAUSD's payroll system was an 8 out of 10 disaster, via said defense Attorney Mark Didak’s 2013 Motion for Summary Judgment which Strobel inexplicably dismissed entirely. Thus, Strobel rejected 14 case laws, 13 statues; one treatise, allowed impermissible duplicative recovery as a result of Deloitte’s paid damages for the payroll debacle, allowed LAUSD other duplicative recoveries and allowed LAUSD NOT to be “sum certain”. Strobel blamed former employees for an injury they did NOT cause. Strobel dismissed half my Cross-Complaint because I did not ask for relief in each and every cause of action though pro per. Allowed opposing counsel to give me joint trial evidence on day of trial though just finished cancer treatment and said pro se.

Have appeared before Judge Strobel a few times since she moved to Writs and Receivers. Although I lost (represented petitioner) on the one merits hearing I've had so far, she prepared a detailed and written tentative, and in it responded to all of the arguments raised by the parties. She appeared to have an even temperament and indulged the parties' oral arguments to a degree commensurate with the nature of the hearing. I felt like we got a fair shake.

Generally fair, but a bit conservative and a stickler for details.

To answer comment #CA3654: most judges are politically appointed. They are told how to rule from higher up. There is no justice in these courthouses. You may be a very bright lawyer, but it's not what you know, it's who you know.

Comments:
Judge Strobel is biased toward financial institutions. She will rule in their favor, even if it has been proven beyond all doubt that the financial institution is liable. She may fear she will not be re-elected if she rules against the "amicus curiae" but she is not being a judge - just a puppet. She ruins lives because she is afraid of losing her job and retirement.
She is married to a lawyer and she is too political to be a judge.
