This judge tried to help cover up the probate conservatorship scandal that embroiled Riverside County.http://articles.latimes.com/2005/nov/14/local/me-conserve14/5 He also was an executive officer for a local cemetery while he heard probate matters. http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/cbs.aspxIt is with great relief that he no longer sits on the bench.

Comments:
I tried a lengthy wrongful discharge case in his court in 1999, and lost (jury trial).

He was scrupulously fair, smart, listened and thought about what he was doing, one of the few world class trial judges I've been in front of over the past 31 years (25-30 jury trials).

He's not just a great judge, but is a genuinely decent guy.

If they were all as good as Judge Cunnison, trial lawyers would have nothing to complain about.
