Judge Allen Sumner is not intelligent and I do not know how he is able to remain in his position. When does a party to a case have the authority to also be a process server? Answer: When Allen Sumner is presiding. I hope this comes out IF he runs again.

Judge Sumner is everything a judge should be. He is fair and highly respectful of everyone in the courtroom. This is what I thought all judges would be like when I first became an attorney. Sadly, most judges are biased, snarky, and have their own agenda in the courtroom. Judge Sumner makes sure everyone is treated fairly. Thank you, Judge Sumner!

If you are pro se you are SOL! He is so far removed from fair and unbiased that he will bend over backwards and makes stupid and unnecessary digs. I don't think he reads petitions because he cherry picks what he rules/offers opinions on and he got it wrong! See you in appeals!

I did research about this judge when my writ was transferred and I don't know who wrote the other reviews because this man was the most insensitive pompous jerk in his findings. He is one sided and arrogant and not once did he acknowledge valid issues raised. He said he could not do anything and what he meant was "not my problem too bad you got screwed" other judges at least acknowledged an ill gotten gain or unjust/fair situation but he does not care and will rub salt in a wound with sarcastic and unnecessary statements. He is the type of judge that makes you hate the judicial system, if you can get Dept 31 or 44, you will have a better experience and they see people not cases. This man doesn't even ensure professional treatment is extended but oh yeah, he does not give it either.
