I have tried only one case in front of Judge Sweet, but I had no complaints. I thought that he was perfectly fair to my client.

Comments:
This judge's name is deceptive, as is his temperament. It is easy to be lured into a false sense of security, because he has an amiable temperament. However, he is inclined to prohibit you from presenting your defense theory to the jury, particularly if the prosecution objects. This is the worst of all judicial trial sins, because it is disrespectful of the jury system. Jurors, not judges, are the triers of fact. Shame on the judge who keeps a defendant from presenting his theory to the trier of fact.
