Comments:
Judge Cohn's demeanor, I thought was very polite. I believe he knows the CCP well, gets it, but does like to apply common-sense. I see nothing wrong with this approach. I did not feel he was not open for oral argument.

Comments:
I have appeared before Judge Cohn numerous times in complex cases that involve ever-changing laws and judicial decisions. I find Judge Cohn to be thoughtful, smart, and extremely well-prepared. He reads all of the papers and asks good questions. He is a bit harsh on occasion and does not suffer fools. Overall, he is one of the most well-prepared state court judges I have seen in over 30 years of practice.

Comments:
Judge Cohn is Pro Per biased, Senior biased, protected class biased, minority biased, female litigant biased. He removed any new Complaint cases from another judge to him as long as the defendant is represented by Attorney General's Office (AGO). Judge Cohn determined the outcome for the AGO, allowed AGO to file frivolous oppositions and motions without evidence, file records, or statutory supports. He arbitrarily ruled against the Plaintiffs and allowed the AGO to procure a judgment by FRAUD with no merit or facts to prove its case. Judge Cohn must be removed from bench. He is lethal and toxic to society; a disgrace to judicial systems.

Comments:
Judge Cohn allowed for a very time consuming custody trial that included many factors to include medical neglect, restrictive gate keeping, negative co-parenting, among other things. He never rushed the process at any time let both attorneys execute their cases as they wanted.
All evidence in the case that was cited by the attorneys was read and he was able to (on multiple occasions) ask pertinent questions regarding the litigants that pertained to the best interests of the children involved.
Judge Cohn was systematic in his approach and backed up his views with the law. I was very impressed with his patience and demeanor even when opposing counsel was obviously dragging the matter out with a useless line of questioning.
I am grateful that the law was on my side, but thankful to Judge Cohn for staying true to the law and becoming very familiar with my case.

This judge is incapable of handling anything more than a few hours long. I believe that he determines the outcome of cases based on a coin toss since he doesn't seem to hear the facts behind the case. His legal experience seems to be in the areas of Professional Malpractice and Personal Injury, (I.e. Ambulance Chaser). He shouldn't be hearing Family Law cases at all, since he seems to think it's all about the money, and not the children.

He literally stated on the record that he wouldn't be reading all of the evidence in my case. I have a hearing loss, and he said that I didn't qualify for protection as a disabled person because I don't speak ASL and I'm not fully deaf. He is of the opinion that ALL children EVERYWHERE who are prescribed glasses and/or hearing aids MUST WEAR THEM AT ALL TIMES. No parent can reasonably assure this, but ALL PARENTS ARE NOW AT RISK for losing custody on a flimsy basis of "medical neglect." [Redacted by Editor] because my lawyer argued DAMN good law, and this judge didn't agree on ANY of it. I wonder what he law school grades were like. I bet they were C averages, and that's why he told me my children's 3.7 and 3.0 GPA averages without hearing aids wasn't impressive enough for him to not consider that I am a detriment to my kids. This judge is incredibly derelict in his duties. He needs to NOT be re-elected this year.

Today he was flying off the handle at everyone that appeared before him. Sanctions, bench warrant threats, short continuances etc. In my 20 years I have never been yelled at by a judge until today (as did my opponent). He never read my motion and the ruling he issued denying it made absolutely no sense, it just spouted anger. It is going to take me awhile to figure what the ruling was all about. I was totally humiliated and insulted. He might need some anger management guidance or a long vacation. I am going to seek moving my case as far away from him as possible.

I have been in front of Judge Cohn a number of times on court trials. It seems to me that he reads the papers. He is also courteous, friendly, and allows the parties to argues. I enjoy appearing before him. However, I have gotten some decisions from him that seemed not so much wrong, but unworkable. I'm not sure about his pragmatism. Also, I see that he gets reversed with some frequency.

Unprepared at hearings on important issues. Does not read the submitted papers beforehand. can be completely out of touch with the status of the case. Appears to just be putting in his time and not being responsible for any decisions. Relies on oral argument where inaccurate or incorrect statements of fact or law can be made by unethical attorneys.

This Judge holds hearings on important pre-trial matters without reading the papers before hand. He has hearings in which he is totally unprepared to comprehend the facts and issues. It boils down to who can make the best oral argument, allowing unscrupulous attorneys to make any unsupportable argument they can make on the spur of the moment.

BEWARE: He is not a fair, competent judge. Watched two other cases (briefly) and witnessed bias against professional women (attorneys and litigants), was rude, did not listen to the testimony of witnesses unless it suited him, fraternized with opposing counsel AND witness of opposing side during breaks and lunch. Watch for that!

Rude, insulting, arrogant, and incompetent. Shouldn't be sitting on the bench, belongs in the corner like all bullies!

Won't let lawyers speak, cuts you off even when you are responding to a question he posed. Dreams of issues that are not related to the matters at hand. Makes things overly complicated and requires unnecessary work. Never get the sense that he is trying to be fair to anyone. He is hard of hearing and always seem to insinuate that you are unprepared or lying. Might be a nice guy off the bench, but it is clearly time for him to move on.

Generally an average judge. Gets flustered when confronted with new law, particularly when he thinks he tends to know the area of the law but doesn't. Relies on his clerk a lot.
