Comments:
Lazy. Rather than read and rule on issues, uses poor reasoning and contrived excuses to dismiss motions.

He should have retired years ago. He is one of the laziest judges I ever saw. He reads nothing. He does not understand complex law. He is easily confused by complex fact patterns. It infuriates me that this man is on the bench.

Disgusting excuse of a judge .
Retire old man . You’re useless .
You might as well draw a happy face on your pleadings because the lazy idiot doesn’t read anything anyway.
How does such an embarrassment become a judge ?!?

I don't know what happened to the vast number of negative reviews about Strauss! Does he get them removed??

Strauss is about the worst judge you can imagine. Barely has any brain cells rattling around anymore. He picks a side arbitrarily at the beginning and then just rules that way for the entire time.

Strauss is unable to comprehend basic law anymore (if he ever did) and is LAZY!!! He looks to be in his 90s so I don't know why he's still on the bench.

Paper Strauss immediately! He's an AWFUL AWFUL "judge"!!! With a bad temper!

We did not receive any papers to go to court missed the day of trial lost over $5,000 on a case. Don't go to this judge.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA15309
Rating:8.1
Comments:
Judge Strauss handled a trial I was involved in over many months. He was always on time, attentive to the evidence and understood complex legal theory. He was patient with the evidence and did not favor one side or the other. He was an even handed judge. At some times reluctant to rule on summary motions in the end he rules fairly.

This judge is very prejudicial he will not help anybody would not even bother reading the pleadings.

Civil Litigation - Govt.

Comment #: CA10231
Rating:3.6
Comments:
Yes, this is an example of someone who is long in the tooth and needs to be set to pasture. Seems like he's daydreaming throughout the process and thinks the rules of evidence don't apply in his courtroom. Let's in everything like its a group therapy session. Shakes his magic eightball and makes the ruling. Doesn't have the mental ability to comprehend complicated issues and analyze.

This judge was going through reading his computer screen and you could see the reaction to whatever his was reading during the questioning of a witness,

He ignored facts and seemed to have been predisposed.

Avoid him. His rulings sometimes make no sense. And if you disagree with him (in order to somehow make a record for the appeal) he gets a bit nasty. He needs to retire.
