It is amazing to me how this judge is allowed to practice law in Family Court. Can you set a court date have people come but only one side of the story, and the side that is heard is the father and only the father. I ask you were is the justice or fairness in this situation? Someone had to look into this, I can understand if it was just one person this happen to, but when I'm getting calls from people (women) who are dealing with Judge Unger telling me that this judge is snatching their children and making a statement "that the child would be better off with the dad" is ridiculous and absurd. At this point I do believe that a full investigation should be in place as soon as possible. No woman should have to be treated like this when it is not warranted. believe me I would be the first if I knew a woman was mistreating her child that the child would be better off with whoever is going to protect them and take care of them, but the insanity this judge is causing some of the woman whom I know from being in her court room is so sad and worse is how hurt the kids are. I beg of anyone to assist the injured woman who have stepped in Judge Unger's courtroom to be made to feel like they don't have a voice because she will not hear them out.

After finally escaping an abusive relationship and supporting two kids for 3 years, the father decided he wanted half custody, even though he is an alcoholic, had no address (homeless going from couch to couch of friend's and family's) no phone or way of communicating with him, and no JOB (no income, so no child support), a history of documented domestic violence against the mother in the presence of the children (the mother brought the police reports to court with her and the mediator laughed because they were more than 2 years old) Judge Unger would not even let the mother speak before deciding that it's always best for the children to have as much time with both parents as possible, regardless of the minor details like homelessness and abuse. She even said that it was a good thing he stayed with different people every week, because she said "it takes a village to raise a child." Well, thanks for the advice but I think THEIR MOTHER was doing just fine keeping them sheltered, clothed, educated, happy, and safe. Only to be punished by this irrational, hateful judge who has a clear bias for the fathers in every case, it seems especially so if they are abusive alcoholics. My experience was confirmed by the other reviews I've read.

No regard for childrens rights
Denied mediation process for 2 kids that clearly do not feel safe in their fathers care.The father has a case pending in court for assault on a neighbor causing great bodily injury
The father is very unstable drinks to excess and is verbally and physically abusive to his kids.I was shocked to hear that this judge refused to move the kids out of that abusive unstable situation i did observe the judge and felt that she did do her job however she clearly made the wrong decision despite the wishes of the kids and without regard for their safety

I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CHILD BEING TAKEN AWAY FROM A MOTHER WHO IS FIT TO CARE FOR HER SON IN A POSITIVE WAY LIKE I TAKE CARE OF MINE. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE WAY THIS JUDGE HANDLED THIS CASE NOT EVEN LETTING THE MOTHER SPEAK, SHE ASSUMED THAT THE FATHER WITH ALL HIS SO CALLED EVIDENCE FROM HIS FAMILY MEMBERS NOT ANYTHING FROM CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES, THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OR THE CHILDS SCHOOL THAT HE WAS IN ANY IMMEDIATE DANGER LIVING WITH HIS MOTHER. THE ONLY E'TE'SHA'NE WAS TRYING TO DO IS HAVE CONTROL AS TO WHERE HER SON HER SON'S SCHOOL IS LOCATED WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSE TO HIS NEW RESIDENCE. MY QUESTION IS TO THE COURTS IS IF WE ARE STANDING IN THE HALL AND THE JUDGES ASSISTANT COMES OUT AND SAYS WE NEED TO EXCHANGE THE PAPERS TO RETURN TO COURT THEN WHY WAS E'TE'SHA'NE ON GIVING THE SAME PAPERS TO ALLEN LAKE II AS SHE GAVE TO THE COURT WITHOUT ANY WRITTEN STATEMENTS FROM ANYONE AND WHEN ALLEN GAVE E'TE'SHA'NE HIS PAPERS HE DID NOT GIVE COPIES OF HIS WITNESS STATEMENTS SO THEREFORE I BELIEVE HE TRICKED OR BETTER YET LIED TO NOT ONLY THE COURTS, BUT TO E'TE'SHA'NE BY NOT DISCLOSING ALL HIS EVEIDENCE TO THE MOTHER. I BELIEVE THAT A GREAT DISJUSTICE HAS TAKEN PLACE ALL BECAUSE THE JUDGE WAS IN A BAD MOOD EVEN ENTERING THE COURTROOM SAYING FROM HER OWN MOUTH THAT SHE HAD NOT READ THE COMPLAINT BEFORE HER AND THAT SHE WAS JUST PLACING ALLEN III IN HIS FATHERS CUSTODY AS IF IT WAS FOR THE BETTER. NOW ALLEN JR IS REBELLING TO DO HIS HOMEWORK WHERE THE STEPMOTHER FEELS THE NEED TO CALL E'TE'SHA'NE AND TRY AND USE HER A THE BIG BAD WOLF TO HAVE ALLEN III DO HIS HOMEWORK WHEN ASLL HE CAN DO IS CALL HIS MOM AND ASK CAN HE COME HOME NOW. I HOPE THAT THIS BRIGHT DECISION MADE BY THIS IRRATE ENCOMPETENT JUDGE DOES NOT TURN A GOOD YOUNG MAN INTO A RISING BAD YOUNG MAN BECAUSE HE IS REALLY HURT THINKING ITS HIS FAULT AND HE SHOULD BE WITH HIS MOTHER. E'TE'SHA'NE NEVER TRIED TO TAKE ALLEN III FROM HIS DAD SHE JUST NEEDED TO HAVE IN WRITTING FROM THE COURTS THAT SHE WAS RESPONSIBLE AS THE MOTHER OF HER SON TO PROVIDE HIM WITH AN EDUCATION CLOSE TO HER HOME INSTEAD OF PAYING $5 DOLLARS A DAY FIVE DAYS A WEEK FOR TOLL WHEN THAT MONEY COULD BE SPENT ON SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR HER SON. PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING AND REPROCESS THIS CASE PLACING ALLAN III BACK IN THE HOME WHERE HE BELONGS.
