Judge Syren is not in Family Law anymore. I've been told by my lawyer that he has left family law. Thank the lord.

He was not only extremely bias. The first time I ever had a court date with him. He didn't even have his computer screen on and said that "it was broken" after my hearing it magically turned on not even a minute later. Not a fair hearing at all.

He took the female litigant's side even tho they were clearly full of shit. This female litigant is known for muddying waters. Even with all my evidence and proof submitted to the court about my ex being a liar, abusive, an alcoholic. He was let off very easily.

Syren is horrible. He's so rude! He rolls his eyes and even jokes with the other lawyer!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL for someone in a high power position. Beware, if you have a case in his courtroom be ready for a circus.

This Judge (Gregory A. Syren) is extremely bias, allows opposing attorney continuance/stay across multiple years. Fails to review filed documents. Jokes during hearing with opposing attorney. Does anyone here knows how to ask the court to change the judge for a family case? I agree with the reviews posted by CA24267.

Judge Syren is
* biased, incurious about the facts, doesnt seem to recognize that there two sides to every story, and persists in taking the side of female litigants, even if their positions have been reversed, orders or judgments modified, time and again

Judge Siren is extremely biased and unfair. He allows women and their lawyers speak but cuts me off as soon as I start to explain my side. I’ve witnessed him do this to other cases. He’s overseen my case 3 times now and requested to stay on my case, which was very suspicious, he seems to be connected to the other sides lawyer. Everything she says he empathizes with, everything I say he doesn’t want to hear. I would love to launch an investigation on him and expose the truth on why he requested to stay on my case, and since he’s been on my case, he favors the other side regardless of what evidence I provide which discredits the others sides position. Makes no sense to me or anyone else. Even went against mediators recommendations. This judge is terrible and wish you luck if you get him to rule on your case. Please please please launch an investigation on this guy. I guarantee he is a crooked judge.

seems to favor the mom in custody cases. Does not care for evidence. Has not yet questioned the validity of anything the petitioner or her attorney say or allege. will not hear reason. makes decisions against the respondent even when presented with factual evidence. Should not be family law, even when quoted his own words he objects himself and sides with the petitioner's allegations.

It appears his training must be in criminal law where the decisions are about the black and white of whether one committed a crime or did not. This is NOT the kind of man that should be making complex decisions involving families. He simply does not have the depth of character nor ability to wade through the BS to get to the true crux of a matter as excellent family court judges do. Someone in power needs to realize this and move this man before he destroys enough families to weaken the very fiber of this community.

He shovels a lot of his responsibilities off on other people. He takes a side almost immediately (typically with female litigants and lawyers) and often is too impatient to allow people to speak for more than a couple minutes. He often says in court that he reads all the documents (probably for fear of appeal) but doesn't. I have also seen him roll his eyes and belittle people when they are trying to talk. Overall, he is not the best example of the judges in the family court system and should take time to reform himself.
