Lazy and disregards the law. Not that much different than a lot of judges in that respect.

I'm not sure why the other reviews were poor, it sounds like it was one lawyer & client who Judge Gabe ruled against. Sour grapes in my opinion. My experience with her has been much better. She is always prepared & courteous and polite. She is obviously very smart, which you can tell when she speaks. In my opinion, she's one of the best judges.

Not an impartial judge. Ignored our family's emergency claims that a wage garnishment would place a major hardship on our family of 6. Court was scheduled morning after Christmas (not our choice),and it was important we try and stop or lessen garnishment before the end of the month. We clearly presented our single income, budget statements, and proof of hardship. We informed her that we were already behind on mortgage, and anticipated filing BK as soon as we had our tax return in the new year. My husband informed her that we really couldn't afford anything extra. We also presented the fact that the creditor had wrongly assessed what 25% of our earnings were. She ignored everything, and quickly sided with the corporate side (with the attorney) and failed to consider a fair settlement. We didn't know exactly to say,as we couldn't afford an attorney....and she definitely took advantage of that. Thank goodness my husband's employer, the school district, properly assessed the correct 25%...but, we have been left unable to cover our minimum bills this month. She should be ashamed.

Poorly prepared and is biased. Judge Gaab made several rulings during a long trial that clearly was contrary to law such as sustaining a hearsay objection when the other side objected to a party's statement. (Yes, it was a party's statement and that party was in court to testify.) Although she has an impressive list of degrees from UC Berkeley, her actions as a judge does not indicate her knowledge of the law. She apparently does not care what a Court of Appeal will do. Apparently, she worked for the Court of Appeal for a few years prior to her elevation to the bench. We will see if the Court of Appeal will give her a free pass. She apparently thinks so in light of the clearly wrong rulings that she made.

She either does not know the law, or she intentionally refused to follow the law. Appears to be biased toward attorneys that she knows. I regret not challenging her. Fortunately, the jury saw through the smoke and client eventually won the trial despite the judge doing everything to help the other side. Will be using 170.6 agsinstbthis judge from now on.

In my opinion this judge should not be on the bench. Apparently, she is appointed and not elected. In my case she suggests that the n word can be friendly amongst co workers.
