Civil Litigation - Private

Horrible judge, stay away, he won't read paperwork. He will grant motions and orders without reading them. Anyone that has deep pockets like big corporations can definitely bribe this judge, the clerk is disrespectful. Very prejudice, bias, and unfair to pro se litigants. This judge claim my paperwork was never given to him. I strongly recommend to stay clear of this judge.

Judge Halm is a stickler in most cases in his courtroom where he picks on tiny little irregularities in the filed paperwork, admonish the attorneys, make them redo what's less than perfect, and does not seem to tolerate any shoddiness. I was shocked to find out how much an advocate he could be when his ruling in my case dis-proportionally favors the other lawyer who did a terrible job throughout litigation, forcing the motions at issue to be filed. Judge Halm went out of his way to not only support and advance the other side's ridiculous argument, he actually MADE UP new arguments for the lawyer who was not even there. Astonishing is an understatement when I found out this judge was member of a small ethnicity-based organization which the other attorney also belongs to. Funny thing is, the judge isn't really of that ethnic background, his family was of a neighboring country ...

Judge Halm is very pro-plaintiff. He's part of the "judicial arm" of the collection industry and should consider retirement.
