This judge has severely mishandled the current trial he is presiding over.

It appears that he is one sided in his account for justice and has severely suppressed the defense team in their delivery of facts and evidence.

He had also barred specific members of the general public who have been in attendance. Also using those individuals social media pictures as reference to recognize them which appears to be inappropriate and extremely personal. Those individuals appear to have been discriminated against in favor of the prosecution while allowing a member of the media to not only receive insider information but also has received preferential treatment. This media person has not only violated court rules by having a laptop on the courtroom floor but has also started quite a bit of trouble. This person of the media is also in support of the prosecution while spreading information that is only in the prosecutions favor thus shining light on the true relationship she has with the prosecution who seeks her out specifically. The judge has aided in mishandling justice not only for the state but the defense as well. He has a very off-putting demeanor which has been displayed in several situations throughout the trial and once again he appears to have sided with the prosecution based on his own personal opinion and not based on the facts presented. It's sad to witness this day and age and honestly is aiding in the questioning of California's justice system and how several cases he has presided over may have been mismanaged as well. Thank you.

This Judge was horrible. The defense had DNA proof and Proof of No fingerprints on a weapon. The Judge said DNA doesn't matter. He didn't want to hear the defense and [Redacted by Ed.]

Judge Herriford is lauded as fair and impartial because her USED to be a defense attorney, unlike most prosecution-biased judges. But I had him for a early disposition hearing and he refused to "hear" anything. Mitigation packet? NO. Recommendation letters? NO Character References? Diversion? Sentencing Recommendations? No, no, no.

DA offers, "Defendant can plead guilty to all charges, your honor."

Judge Herriford, "Does defense accept the offer?"

Really? An open plea to the sheet on all counts is an early disposition offer--yeah right...

This judge is just as crooked as the rest of them.

It has taken me about a year to get up the nerve to write this. Everyone, and I mean everyone, in this courtroom are impeccably substandard. It is amazing that this court handles basic criminal cases, as these small cases affect those who are involved, and are still important. I listen to him speak, and I wonder what is he possibly experiencing in his life that can make him so inept on the bench? His behavior has to extend to other areas of his life. Please good people of California, and possible criminal defendants, be aware if you ever have to be in front of this man.
