What others have said about Hon. Deborah C. Servino

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA45255
She is a very cerebral and even-handed judges, with well thought out pre-trial decisions and decisive case management abilities. I read some of the bad reviews, but I did not find her to fit within those categories.

Comment #: CA31059
Shocking. Servino allowed a case to proceed through CMC and discovery for two and a half years with no proof of service for a defendant- 100% bias to the plaintiff.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: CA18097
Cunning bias with a penchant for awarding opposing party attorney’s fees when and after filing NOA. If she needs to back date an order filing, no problem. Her closer than personal relationship with Filipina deputy bailiff will always turn a blind eye given the judge’s strange obscession with the Filipino culture.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA12342
In disbelief that the courts expose defendants to this level of injustice. Very blatant in her disregard for the defendant (s). Says throughout trial, "Let me get to you on that" when asked difficult questions. Pretends to know more than she does, allows plaintiff's attorney to bully and berate the witnesses. Truly a disservice to the greater good.

a fairly new judge but appears to be vey knowledgeable and hard working. I was surprised at her scholarship on a complex matter. A pleasant demeanor.
