Civil Litigation - Private

Comments:
One of the worst family judges currently on the bench. She totally destroyed my client's 11 year old son's life. In open court she repeatedly chastised my client for discussing with her son why he had had to go to Family Court Services. Her son's biological father who ran as soon as "his bitch" got "knocked up" had returned from 9 years in prison and demanded full custody. My client was married just after her son was born and that man had raised her son as his. My client had not yet discussed his biological father with her son and did not want the first discussion to come from a FCS mediator. Judge Bogert called it "bad parenting" for the child's mother to discuss it with her son. After 2 years of fighting any visitation, the biological father dropped his request for custody and laughed about "ruining the boy's life". Bogert showed a complete lack of the law and procedure.

I found it admirable based on the fact that in my years battling for custody, this is the first female judge I have ever encountered. However, I quickly realized that she sympathized with my abuser, more importantly, my child's abuser. He has been able to manipulate the courts in the last few years and continues to do so. I can see that she judges based on emotion, which is extremely biased.. If I show emotion, I am viewed as weak. But when he shows emotion, there is compassion & sympathy. She made it clear that there is a potential for me to lose custody. Overall, I was greatly disappointed in this female judge who seems to be on a vendetta to favor fathers.
