Ignores settled law. Not willing to put in the work to get to the proper conclusion. Terrible demeanor in the courtroom.

I've been practicing for over 30 years and have never seen such an inept clown sitting on a bench. His ruling on my motion ignored decades of settled law, and he didn't even try to justify his disregard for the law. I'm not sure if he just didn't feel like following it, or wasn't smart enough to understand it. Either way, the people who appointed him should be embarrassed.

Judge Krueger seems overwhelmed in Law and motion and he is not prepared. He does not have the temperament to be on the bench. He needs to get another job.

Comments:
Judge Krueger is sarcastic, ego driven, and no less vindictive in his rulings. Most specially where litigants cannot afford to spend $30k appeal his wrongful rulings.

The only view I have is a person in Pro Per in a case against the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District's In-house Attorney Kathy Pittard and Retired General Manager Larry Greene for Fraud. He and Judge Brown failed to follow the Law, thus NO JUSTICE

Back in 2014, I (as a defendant) was before Judge Krueger for a motion concerning conflicting interpretation(s) of language included in a stipulated agreement signed years previous. We were placed at the end of the morning's docket (as the case was very complicated). I watched attentively how the judge interacted w/ all the litigants presenting that am. The Judge appeared reasonable, and understanding. However, by the time our case was heard, his demeanor changed 180 degrees, and became hostile towards myself w/ no provocation! As a WHITE MALE, I felt he was totally biased, and refused to allow any explanation of past events, and outcomes relating to the case.

The Judge is not fit. While he was assigned in Sacramento Probate court he ruled according to whom he needed to please, not on the merits.
At a trial on a probate accounting case between siblings, Krueger made a $210k erroneous decision by rubber-stamping opposing counsel's arguments verbatim. The attorney for the losing party appealed and it should have been reversed, but for extrinsic fraud. The court of appeal Lead Appellate research attorney (Matt Smith) who is married to a very aggressive Family law attorney (K.Codekas) got ahold of the case and altered the facts in the opinion. Smith was forced to retire early (3 yrs shy of working 20 years with the State).
We all need to file complaints to the CJP and copy the State Auditor who is investigating the CJP re their effectiveness.

Comments:
Judge Krueger handled two hearings for my motions against a pro per plaintiff. Both tentative rulings were very factually inaccurate. One tentative, for a motion to compel, stated incorrectly that the plaintiff had been dismissed in the case (one defendant has been dismissed by order granting terminating sanctions, but plaintiff still was continuing as to two other defendants. The other tentative, related to a motion for attorneys' fees and costs for a dismissed defendant, failed to address my request for costs and also my request for fees and costs for the motion. Both should have easily been granted. I argued both and informed him of the issues at hearing, but affirmed the tentatives. My client lost over 20,000 in awardable attorney's fees/costs and has to continue with the litigation, which is very disappointing. I will be 170.6 ing this judge from now on as he does not appear to want to spend the time to understand the factual issues involved, even when you communicate them to him directly. He should not be in law and motion.

Judge Krueger should not be in Law and Motion. He is overwhelmed with the work load and splits the baby all the time.

I agree with the last comment - our legal system is broken, mostly due to conflicts of interests. Sac Court Dept 54 should not Judge Krueger deciding cases that can be appealed. How can we ensure against bias if Judge Krueger's spouse is a Senior Research Appellate Attorney (Kris Burks) at the Third District Court of Appeal? There is no system of justice that should allow such direct conflicts of interests. How does this happen?

I reviewed prior cases so I was not surprised but he is one of the most fair judges you can expect but he is easily moved by petite white attorneys, does not stand up for himself against ALJs but he's better than some of his counterparts. I think the system sucks but it's all we have so if I had to have him vs Sumner, I wish I could have kept him.

I was the plaintiff in my case. This is my first experience in any court, so I don't have a way to compare Judge Krueger to others. I lost my case, but it wasn't Judge Krueger's fault. I lost because my original attorney, Bill Warne, didn't file the complaint properly, & he forced me to find a new attorney at the last moment. I thought Judge Krueger explained things & was fair in his decisions. I understand that he simply followed the law. I'm looking at this experience through the eyes of a 69 year old male, who has never been in trouble, never been bankrupt, owned my own business for 50 years, paid my taxes, never collected a penny from welfare, own my home, have a wife, kids, & grand kids. I know I'm a odd ball in today's world. I must say, this was one of the more unpleasant experiences in my life. I know I'm not the only person who's been cheated out of their life's work. I also know this system could care less. I've heard all the catchy little excuses people in the legal system use to rationalize this mess. My advice to anyone looking for help from the government you pay taxes to support; look elsewhere. I think Judge Krueger did the best he could in a broken system.

True. He is not a strong Judge unless you are a white female and young, or Kevin Johnson. He is not strong in his analyses. He will rule according to who he feels he needs to please. If there is a client and attorney (never go pro se) it depends on the amount of people on his right or left. Be attractive, not intimidating if you are a male, and even if you disrespect him as a white ALJ female, no sanctions, no reprimand, just don't try to argue with the rules of law. This is coming from a white female.

Judge is only politically motivated. Not a stable personality for the bench, not motivated to make the right legal decisions. His rulings undermine the correct outcome.

Judge Krueger is an excellent judge. I had a very long and complex civil trial he presided over last year. He worked long hours, lunch, and any break he had to get the rulings right. He was extremely gracious with the jury, fair and impartial with counsel, and able to get to the bottom of complicated issues very quickly. These negative comments are absolutely confusing to me.

Do not waste your time bringing a criminal motion before this judge, he is a tool for the prosecutor. I am now appealing a horrible decision which he rendered yesterday on a Kellett motion.

Who on earth are the authors of these negative comments? Judge Krueger is the best - community-minded, smart, prepared. I am stunned at some of these comments.

I don't understand the previous comments. I think that Judge Krueger is one of our very best judges: smart, thoughtful and terribly hard-working. The sort of judge we can expect to lose to the federal or appellate benches.

Not a critical thinker, not a good judge. Just another politically-motivated judge who only cares how he looks. Another example of California's horrendous bench.

The public does not know how bad of a choice the last governor made in appointing Krueger as a "judge". How can our court system be impartial if this Judge's wife Kris L. Burks works for the THIRD DISTRICT COURT OF APPEAL? How can that not be a conflict of interest on the public.

Believes people that file false reports and makes up unfounded lies. Is of the opinion if you have ever been involved in a case and convicted, then you are now convicted. Makes negative comments on mediation and CPS reports.
