So, I checked in with the traffic clerk and saw her staple my attorney business card to the ticket. My business card is an attorney business card that has my state bar #, identifies me as an attorney, and has a law business logo on it. I was wearing a suit and tie. And, I announced that was appearing 977a for the defendant when the case was called by Judge Hahn. I am Latino. Was I detecting possible racism when Jimmy asked, "Are you an attorney"?
Not sure, but it seemed to me that he was trying to belittle me? But, I couldn't be belittled because I knew the traffic officer was a no-show. Case dismissed.

There is a reason this buffoon is only hearing traffic matters. It is a shame because his father was such a decent guy - The apple fell very far from the tree with this guy. And to think the city of LA actually named a building after him.

Don't feel bad if Hahn screwed you over. He is a jerk. You were probably right and of course he the jerk was wrong. Can't stand looking at his stupid face. It's a pity that this stupid jerk won't retire. He has lots of money.

He had a very condescending tone the whole time during my trial and cut me off during my testimony saying other people had trials too. He deprived me of legal right to defend myself. And slandered my character in front of the whole court room saying I was a liar. It was a bias and unfair trial.

Prosecutor on the bench. Does not care about the rule of law. Runs the court as a dictator. Constitution be dammed.

Judge Hahn is highly professional. He's a practical judge who knows that private attorneys may have multiple matters on calendar in other courtrooms.

Judge Hahn is intelligent. He's respectful to attorneys and parties.

Civil Litigation - Private

I love Judge Hahn. I had him in a limited civil matter which dragged on for almost a year and had at least 10 pre-trial hearings. His courtroom is always running late, but the payoff was well worth it! Detailed, patient, respectful to all (even with the parade of pro se litigants), knowledgeable, fair....no matter the tedium, he didn't make a ruling without hearing all parties out. This drove some attorney's nuts, but as I watched case after case (including my own), I saw first hand this resulted in true justice. I lost almost every motion before this judge, but if I consider that he has the hands down best courtroom staff I've EVER worked with, he is without a doubt my personal top in the county.

How many pensions does this fellow now possess? L.A. Superior Court has some of the most unqualified judges in the nation. This man is not qualified to judge a pie eating contest!
