This judge is extremely biased. He considers testimony and evidence that is not before him for consideration, allows hearsay, hears illegally obtained / inadmissible testimony and evidence and rules based upon it. He renders decisions for people who are not a party to the action, without any proper notice, without allowing due process, without any notification to the party of the illegal decision rendered, and light-heartedly strips the constitutional rights of an Air Force veteran who fought two tours in Iraq to protect the very rights stripped from him without cause or legal authority. He creates a team of his own biased peers and empowers them with government funds to choose additional biased peers to participate in the violation of a child's legally protected rights to privacy and confidentiality when speaking to her court appointed attorney and psychologist. This judge never reads the documents submitted. When presented with written evidence proving that opposing counsel and / or the court appointed minor's counsel have lied on the record, he acknowledges having seen it, and then completely disregards it. Every hearing in the case is held over from the morning until the afternoon, because he is always behind schedule. Some days the issues aren't heard at all, requiring a new hearing date and thousands of additional dollars to be heard. He allows counsel to run his court room, and asks the clerk about matters of law, because he does not know how to do his job. He is completely incapable of handling the simplest of cases, and is a mess at dealing with complex cases. He does not render decisions when promised. There is not a single redeeming quality about this incompetent, disingenuous, and pathetic representation of our U.S. legal system.

Worst judge I have ever experienced. Totally biased to one side. Seems to make judgments based on relationships outside the courtroom. If you get this judge make sure to hire an attorney he golfs with. Tramples civil rights, yells at people, does not read paperwork. BAD BAD BAD BAD. I would guess that the ONE moron attorney one civil litigant that posted good things about this judge are the very people this judge unfairly sides with. This judge has literally protected a proven child abuser with no conscious. I wonder what his price is. FIRE THIS JUDGE.

He is thoughtful, even-handed, and patient, even with hordes of difficult pro pers. He is a good, solid family law judge. We need more like him on the LASC family law bench.

This judge now sits in Department L of the Los Angeles Superior Court, San Fernando, California. He is a family law Judge. My experience with this judge was so disturbing, I felt that I had to email a message to Governor Jerry Brown (who appointed this man to the bench recently, in mid-2013) explaining to him that this judge's misconduct prevented and hindered me from receiving a full, fair, and impartial hearing on a custody/visitation issue, in addition to a domestic violence restraining order that I sought against the respondent. This judge allowed me only ten minutes (eight for the DV restraining order, and two for the child custody/visitation hearing) because he was "already behind schedule and still had other cases to hear." Worst of all was when this judge admitted, on record, that he in fact did not read any court documents submitted for this case, no pleadings, nor my declarations, nor my witness declarations in preparation for the hearing, because he was "already behind schedule." Of course, the judge knew nothing about the case and randomly made statements that made no sense and were not relevant to my case. The times that I appeared in this case (due to the many continuances he gave), he was either dozing off on the bench (that's right, falling asleep), or stressed and anxious, glancing at the wall clock every other minute. I write this in hopes of forewarning others about this judge's misconduct on the bench. His blatant disregard for the concept of justice was disgusting.
