Comments:
Very arrogant, very impatient, and biased toward the Defendants. At the beginning of the CMC hearing he boldly stated that he didn't care to pro se litigants and throughout the hearing repeated that he had very little patience for people representing themselves as if he was trying to send a strong message.

Also, against the Rules of the court allowed the Defendants in Default to move forward with their Answer, since requiring them to request relief from default as he said would be inconvenient to the Court.

Had the privilege of observing Judge Cooper as he worked on a trial where prosecution and defense were both clearly inexperienced. Judge Cooper put a great deal of effort into curing deficiencies of both sides in an effort to keep the trial balanced. Incredibly patient and thoughtful.

Update to previous review . This judge questioned me from the beginning, defendant was no show, right away accused me of not serving her. I asked for continuance, made me beg for that, could have just gone forward, but, she was a friend, an old lady and I wanted her to tell her story, she was my witness. He asked,or said, "YOU ARE SUING A FRIEND?" twice, I said former employer, "OH SHE GAVE YOU AN OPPORUTINITY AND YOU ARE SUING HER". The clerk gava a date five weeks away, he whispered something and made it four months away, I was told that you cant even set a trial over six weeks away. Delayed, and knew he would rule agains tme anyway. He allowed plaintiff to continue it further, for no reason. At trial He listened to me until he saw his notes from first hearing, I saw his face change looking at the computer screen, he didn't care after that, just ruled against me.Didnt consider the law, her testimony where she admitted placing and object and not telling me about it, hidden hazard. She read a prepared perjuered statement, the insurance guy prepared, she has dementia, doesnt recall, different than other statements she made. I appealed asking to rule on the correct law, got an answer, "all evidence was considered and the proper statute used". I could have got 70 thousand if I had an attorney, I decided to be honest. He played games, thinking I would go away. He could not have ruled on the law as it was a workers comp or general liability, he ruled on both, illegal. I now have evidence of subordination of perjury, so he can now answer to the Judicial commission, dept of insurance and whoever else will be looking into this. I am requesting a proper ruling and the statute used. in my appeal I outlined this, he must have not read it, no objections to my allegattions about him. New judge thinks he is smart. Now he opened a can of worms. I have deep scars on my legs, muscle loss, cant even wear shorts in the sun. Get a diffent judge. He made comments and delayed the trial, both violations.

This judge ruled on my case during the first hearing, when I asked for a continuance as the defendant, a friend of mine, was sick. He made it known that he did not like me because I was suing a friend. He postponed trial for four months then another month, when everyone else was six weeks, he told the clerk to do this, I saw and heard him, she had a six week trial date already set. He did not review my evidence, 8 pages of documents, which the defendant did not argue as being false. He ruled 100 percent my fault in a slip and fall wherein the defendant admitted to putting the hazard on the ground and not telling me about it. Terrible judge.
