Comments:
My impression of Judge Sullivan has been that she may need to stay on the DA's good side to avoid anyone running against her in 2021. In open court, she gushed that she hoped to see the DA again in the future, then she looked over at defense counsel and indicated oh you too of course as an afterthought. I have concern that she might be more interested in political schoomzing and moving cases through to please the courts and gain approval for it, than any scholarship or reverence for our Constitution. As a career DDA prior to the bench, she is adept at politics, despite a lack of scholarship in my opinion, and I definitely felt a sense of bias. It remains to be seen whether she will become a DA in a robe, or grow in scholarship.
