Why does Sacramento have insufficiently trained attorneys advancing to Judicial appointments from gov't positions? They are out of touch with the real people who have to earn a living by being competent in their profession - but not so with Judges.

Judge Stephen Aquisto is a biased judge, not fit for family law cases. I was advised after he made an egregious, unmeritous judgement against me based on the testimony of an attorney and not the evidence and testimony of witnesses he denied, that he was too harsh and didn't serve well as a judge or mediator of sensitive cases between a mother and daughter or families. He violated the rules of court when he questioned me and did not allow testimony, exhibits, or witnesses.An order that he imposed cost my mother her life and in the end her home. I couldn't assist her during her failing health. This has been a devastating blow to my family.This judge lacks the temperament to be sitting on the Sacramento Family Court. In addition, I learned that he attended McGeorge School of Law, the same school as the attorney whom he favored in the case.The Governer who appointed this judge will never know the fatality his lack of judgment caused my family and I. I served for many years as a court reporter in a courtroom with a judge of great integrity.However, I have little faith in the judicial system at this point.

I found Judge Acquisto to be very thorough. He read the case file prior to my hearing and trial, in a Family Law case. He was competent and a very good, and quick study of human beings in character. Now, Family Court is left with majority of the hearing officers who participate in the "business" practice in Family court.

Not fit for public service as he is biased and succumbs to favoring his "attorney friends". CJP needs to take their duty to the public seriously. CA State Auditor should expand their audit of CJP.

Completely incompetent. Another awful choice by Governor Brown for the Sacramento Superior Court. This is what happens when you promote your office assistants to Superior Court Judge and why the bench in Sacramento is a complete joke.

Judge Acquisto is a very thorough Judge. He looks at all of the evidence and case files before he rules. He starts his court on time unlike a lot of other judges.
