Judge Crompton has some crazy ideas regarding hearsay. For instance I asked my client on the witness stand if he had read his interview with the police. The prosecutor objected on hearsay grounds and the judge sustained the objection. Basically, the entire trial was full of questionable rulings (always favoring the prosecution) on hearsay. His best quality is that he is affable, which is appreciated. His legal acumen leaves a lot toe be desired.
