I have dealt with judge Carringer in quite a few civil matters. She has always been fair and can see through the games and emotions that parties use to try to gain an advantage for themselves. She will always make a fair and informed decision. The negative comments about her are obviously parties complaining when things didn't go their way. a judge is not there to make people happy. They are there to decide things fairly based on the law. Judge Carringer does that.

This woman is clearly unstable and needs to be removed from the bench before any more damage is done to the public. She recently sanctioned one litigant for simply asking for a payment plan on an almost $100,000 judgement. She is arrogant, emotionally unstable and ignorant of the law.

I filed an Ex Parte notice of motion to vacate a defaulted judgement. In my declaration I admitted my error/mistake. The heating was scheduled and as she sat down she said why would you waste my time asking to vacate my own orders. She would not let me speak. She told me she was not going to change them and sarcastically asked questions regarding the case and reviewed pictures as evidence that I did not have served to me. She was mocking me and in just 8 mins showed a heartless cold blooded vile display of savage with no regard for others. She wants to abuse power and appeared to have mo regard for the civil codes or law.

Keep in mind that all of the negative comments here are from those who have lost or received an unfavorable ruling for themselves or their client. Those who have received a favorable ruling are much less likely to leave feedback of any kind. Also, this is family court. It is highly likely that neither side will be happy with the judgement as often both sides usually have to give something up that they wanted.

I have had Honorable Christine Carringer as my judge for years now and I have been very pleased with her professionalism and wisdom in court.
I have interacted with dozens of judges throughout my career (mostly federal judges) and I have found Hon. Carringer to be a top-tier judge in her decision making, rulings and reasoning behind the judgements.

My ex-wife is a horrible person who did some shady things, such as taking all of my kids and fleeing to another state without my consent or the court’s. She blackmailed me to not try and get the kids back and she filed an unwarranted restraining order on me. The restraining order was dropped as she had no basis for any of it. She didn’t even go to court because she knew it was a lie. However, she did as intended and caused problems for me at work.

Judge Carringer was very fair and worked with both sides in order to come up with a fair and equitable judgment.

If you are a person trying to do sneaky things to your ex, Judge Carringer will notice and you will not like her as a judge. If you are a genuine good person who is trying to do the right thing for your kids, you will like her. Most of the negative people and their negative comments here will hate this review, but anyone trying to learn about Judge Carringer, just know there is another side and most likely you will not see it here on this rating site.

Judge Carringer has been a huge blessing to me in my life and she doesn’t get enough credit for the quality work she does. I didn’t get everything I wanted either, but I thought her judgement was fair and well thought out.

Judge Carringer has actually been against me during the duration of my divorce/custody hearing. She refuses to even read my filings that has proof on top of proof that my ex wife has been lying in court and that she doesn't have the best interest of our children. Judge Carringer allowed my ex to make fun of me in court and has even allowed her to be late to a few of our hearings, so our case was not fully reviewed and was extended! Even at the extension it was not heard. She said, "We don't have time to go over it". That was that. So she's not always pro-father. My ex had an attorney and I didn't. So the judge didn't give a shit about what I had to say. My ex filed a false DV case against me. I appealed it and of course it was denied. Even the DA thought I won. Since then, Judge Carringer just looked at me like I was evil and has been biased ever since. (I don't have DV history, my record is clean. There was even proof my ex lied on the 911 recording and lied in court, but I was still found guilty.)

Judge Carringer is pro Father and Homophobic. She does not let the mother speak. Judge Carringer rolls her eyes at mother when she answers Judges questions. Will not acknowledge domestic violence of mother or Parental Alienation even when Mother has proof. Attorneys in area will not touch case as they say it's a no win. Say Judge Carringer is anti Mother and kids are older. Mother goes without seeing kids for 3 and 4 years with no contact whatsoever. No drug alcohol or CPS history. Just a loving mother who needed out of a bad marriage and came out as gay later in life. Kids need reunification counseling and was ordered by Judge. father and Children refused. Nothing happened and haven't seen or heard from them since. Except ordered to pay child support. Anyone willing to help my modify and go up against this Judge. Please help!

Most rebuttals to the Activists working to raise awareness about the issues plaguing Solano County Family Court is that the activists are simply mothers who are angry/upset/unhappy.

Or any other EMOTIONAL state.

We have numerous cases where Judge Carringer did one or more of the following:
- Violating the UCCJEA
- Issuing gag orders against litigants who are known for speaking to media about her rulings
- Routinely disregarding credible evidence of domestic violence
- Discussing and/or taking action in cases where she was previously disqualified
- Modifying orders
- Signing orders on behalf of a retired judge post retirement

People who routinely use claims like “angry” or “upset” are simply relying on the public to disregard credible claims from female litigants by branding them “scorned women”.

Because Carringer is a Jurist and this type of behavior is unthinkable, people are astonished by the allegations and want to believe that these things simply cannot be true, or are exaggerated.

Until they witness and/or experience it first hand.

For some reason we cannot quite deduce, Solano County had a completely poisonous Family Law bench, three judges all behaving equally unethically.

We do not yet know the source of the problems.

Attorneys who primarily practice Family Law are well aware of this, leading SEVERAL attorneys to refuse to represent female litigants, period.

Judge Carringer is not an innocent well-meaning Jurist who doesn’t deserve criticism, she is an unethical Jurist who routinely spat in the face of the Judicial Canons and placed the lives of dozens, if not hundreds, of women and children at risk.

The LAST THING THESE JUDGES WANT is for the public to become aware of what they have done. This risks their ability to continue to run UNOPPOSED when they are up for election, which basically guarantees them a judicial seat in perpetuity.

If the public becomes WELL-AWARE AND EDUCATED about the actions of Jurists, it puts at risk their guaranteed cushy income (often in excess of $180,000) and prestigious position.

They LITERALLY cannot afford for you to know the truth.

Please do not become confused about the issues, research and learn more.

And know this: what we are currently aware of is ONLY the TIP of the Iceberg.

We KNOW there’s so much more beneath the surface.

And they are shaken to their core that they can no longer hide.

I'm a local family law attorney. Recently, Judge Carringer has found herself the target of upset mothers for some reason. I'm not sure why that is because she doesn't seem to me to have any true biased against them. She seems pretty evenhanded in my opinion.

When she first was appointed, I felt like she didn't have a full grasp on family law and she made some rulings I didn't like and felt were wrong. However, as she has gained bench experience in family law over the years, I think she now is a pretty competent family law judge. She treats litigants and attorneys with respect.

If I had a criticism about her, I'd say she chooses which litigant she likes early on and then digs in. I wouldn't say that is a bias, it's just a personality thing.

If she had a bias, I think it may be against awarding men spousal support.

I wouldn't say she is an expert in family law, but she is more knowledgeable than your average family law judge in counties that rotate new judges in and out of family law every year. The longer she's on the bench in family law, the better she is getting at it. And at this point she's very good. However, I expect one day she'll rotate out of family law. I suspect she would rather be doing civil or criminal law.

If you argue the right legal argument, she usually makes the right ruling. I think that probably goes back to her career as a civil litigator. She was probably a pretty good attorney before she was on the bench.

In summary, I think she's a decent judge. I personally like her and think she is a pleasant person, which I appreciated in a judge. I can't think of any reason why an attorney or litigant wouldn't want to have a case in her courtroom, unless it was the slight bias she may have against awarding men spousal support.

This woman is horrible and bias to say the least. She makes decisions based on how she is feeling for the day with little to no regard the effect it will have on the child. My sons father alleges a lot of things in court and I requested to have my son interviewed to eliminate the he said she said. My son's dad almost killed him not only did she deny me an interview with my son she gave his dad back 50/50 legal and physical custody.PLEASE get this woman OFF THE BENCH!!!!!!

Judge Christine Carringer has damaged the life of my niece forever,by supporting her abusive, drug and alcohol addicted father.
This judge separated my niece and her brother and punished their mother by awarding everything to the father (mentioned above).
Unbelievable decisions are being made by this person that is supposed to be an unbiased

We pay her wages to ruin our children's lives.

Unfortunately I have two personal dealing with this Judge

In this case the mother has raised her 3 year old child since birth on her own. She has no record and no substance abuse issues. The judge ordered 50/50 even though the dad had meth and DV convictions for violence against the mother of his child.

Granted full physical custody to a man that has seen his 2 teenage daughters 3 times in 6 years as they were raised by their mother and myself with no help from him. Get this. Judge carringer ordered this even though the father was homeless and lived out of state. Those kids went with him to stay on couches and hotel floors. I would love to speak with someone about this. She lashed out at me for not disclosing something to the court but get this I did disclose it as it was on the response filed with the court. I guess at almost 2ook a year she can't take the time to read files prior to ruling. Equipo lane

Obvious she did not like me. Called me out on perjury but the respondent's documentation clearly had perjury and never called him out. I had to prove I was not. She also put our child in harm's way with how custody was determined. Judge Carringer clearly is bias.

Christine Carringer is by far the WORST judge I have ever experienced. She doesn't care about proof, she throws out valid and IMPORTANT evidence and facts. She picks one side and supports that side regardless of the truth. If she doesn't like your client she will punish them by ripping their child away from them for no valid reason. She is unfair and unprofessional. She is ripping children of all ages away from LOVING parents. She is helping parents alienate the other parent, she doesn't care about the child's best interest whatsoever. I am ashamed that nobody is stepping up to stop her from harming all of these children.

Does not deserve to be a Judge. Carringer is a twice arrrested and convicted DUI offender. Funny, she had her own nasty divorce and her ex husband had a domestic violence restraining order against her. She was an aggressor in her own marriage and takes it out on litigants! What a horrible choice for a family law judge! What a waste of tax payors money. She has no experience, ethics and respect for women. Carringer makes Solano County justice system look really bad. They do not have a zero rating button for this so I had to put a 1, but honestly I would love if they would go into negative numbers ;-) Over the past few weeks the things that I have heard and seen about his judge is shocking. Her actions have endangered many children and she still abuses her power. She thumbs her nose a the law and proper procedure and flat out does whatever she wants with no consequence. Peremptory challenges, challenge for cause for judicial disqualification, writs, and complaints to the BAR, and the local court, have been filed against her and have been ignored. The next step is complaints to the Judicial Review Board. How do we get justice out of this justice system when the people we file complaints with are part of her circle or side with the bad judges? I am really confused are we not the ones who hold the power here? they are elected officials our tax dollars pay these people, we have a right to a fair trial and due process....

She has to be angry at one or the other. She rules WITHOUT knowing or hearing the facts. The other side can say whatever they want and when we go to defend ourselves she tells us to shut up. She rolls her eyes, threatens to take away your child or children. She is very nice to the other party and allows them to say anything they want and they have to have no facts or proof of the validity. She looks like she hates her job and hates kids. Unbelievably bias. Favors council of her choice with obsurd judgements. Carringer fails to follow the solano county court's mission statement "the best interest of the child". Carringer has made judgements based off of hear say, then goes back on her judgment and changes parenting schedules with no logical reason. One major issue this judge has is she strings out a case for years, and based on who the attorneys are she will change her orders in favor of her choosing, I have personally watched her continue a nonsense case favoring one party, then a new attorney is retained by the opposite party and the case is solved and over before going to trial with the new attorney. It is unfortunate that she allows bias behavior, politics, and bribery in her courtroom. She will be stopped.

I would rate her below 1 is it was possible. Bias, racist, sarcastic, rude and ignorant . . . she should not be in Family Law, she should not even be a judge in my opinion. Making decisions without bothering to become informed of circumstances, refuses to see evidence because "her judgment" makes her no doubt on statements endangering children's lives.
