Judge Landau makes final trial rulings before she enters the court. She is extremely biased and admits forged documents as evidence that she sohly trash. She does that if she likes the counsel ( old timers). Then she trashed the other party by mocking, ridiculing, etc. She is a nightmare.

She is 100% bias and will make a judgement even though there is absolutely zero evidence. She makes up her mind before hearing the case and does not review any of the evidence. If she is your judge I am sorry. Allows people to lie in court and not follow court orders or protocols. She accuses witnesses of lying. She's rude and can't retire soon enough.

She didn’t let me extend my court date even though other party got a lawyer 2 weeks prior to court date and was scrambling to get a lawyer. She had an attitude before we started talking. She gave sperm donor 2 months only seeing my son 3 times a week when I have been the sole provider and care taker for my son. Father only wanted time to lower child support. Judge has no feelings due to her punishing me for not allowing father to see the child .when he was called to the hospital when I was in labor and decided to not be part of anything until now. Judge is bitter and my court order had many typos. Very unprofessional and rude . She needs to retire ASAP.

Judge Landau needs zero ratings throughout. She is absolutely the least qualified judge and a nightmare. She intimidates, is very disrespectful and moody. She flip flops ever 10 seconds, does not read, does not know the law and plays favorite to the law firms she is familiar with. She seems to be extremely unhappy with her job and with the court. It is written all over her demeanor. It is evident is her horrible ratings compared to judge Douglas and others. We love for her to go away and take a break and give us a break too. She keeps getting worse by the day.

This is the worst judge ever! I hope she retires today!!! She makes uip her miond before you even go to trial. I have heard from three other persons who had cases with her that she makes up her mind in advance of the case, and doesn't listen to any witnesses and even tries to exclude them She is very temperamental and not suited as a judge. She has zero patience, is very unprofessional and does not have a judicial temperament. She also plays favors to older attorneys she knows in person. How in the world do they get there?

How can the Contra Costa Courts allow a judge rated 1 (worst) out of 10 to rule on cases which have such an important and lasting impact on families?

Its clear from the comments below and what I have witnessed first hand, Judge Landau uses her position to belittle, insult and harm the very people who are coming to her for help.

Please do something about this judge.

I'm scared to have my case heard by her...she's a mean person who appears to enjoy hurting others.

Absolutely horrible! Condescending demeanor towards litigants, disregards overwhelming evidence, and details of previous court orders. This judge's combination of racially bias assumptions and disregard of overwhelming evidence results in leaps to the wrong conclusions/unfair judgement. Places victims in a vulnerable position. Be ready for a redirect as an attempt to clear the air and respectfully challenge the prejudices.

She will make a ruling then go back and write an addendum of retaliation against parents claiming they are dangerous for filing motions or appeals with the courts. Beware of a judge who wanted to shape the outcome by suppressing contrary and impeaching evidence. Disqualify her at your first chance.

Leslie Landau is completely unprofessional. She flirts with all the male attorneys. If she’s your judge in a court case, make sure you have a male attorney that she likes. That way, you’ll stand a better chance of winning your case. Favorable judgments should be based on evidence and facts, but not in her courtroom.

Poor courtroom management, left case hanging too long... months. scheduled an all day, but ran in other cases cutting our time to 3 hours, then just continued.
Seems to dislike men.. or just me! berated and questioned me for a scheduled vacation, but just accepted other attorney vacation as important with no question.
extedned the RO on me 9 months after 9 months for no good reason.
demanded "proof" of expenses from me, but not ex wife.
She should retire.. I may help her retire at her next reelection

Didn't look at the evidence. Years of abuse from my ex wife. Withholding the children from me for about 4 years. Told I wasn't flexible so she clearly didn't read the evidence?? Taught me that following the law makes no difference. Attacking back is all that I have learned in her courtroom so my ex will now endure the same mistreatment at the expense of our children. Can't beat them so I've learned to join em! Other attorneys was completely ill prepared and was expected to do the judges job. Can't wait to see her the next time when I've resorted to the same verbal attacks that I've endured the last 4 years. Thank you judge I can now call out the ex what she really is and you won't do a damn thing about it.

Having been in Landau's courtroom, I would have rated her at least a 5 in terms of intellect and credibility. I am giving her a 1 because I found out from a litigant whose attorney purportedly achieved a favorable outcome for said litigant by bribing Landau with money.

This is Contra Costa County for you, folks. Landau and the rest of the judiciary at CCC can be bought & sold.

Dear Judge Landau - youth who are not heterosexual commit suicide at much higher rates than others. Why will you not protect them against a parent's emotional abuse?

Judge Landau is openly Anti-Gun Ownership. She will take or prohibit your right to possess or own firearms if she is at all able to. In fact just a simple custody hearing with no criminal background or TRO's she will limit gun possession and ownership. She obviously cannot do this, however be prepared to spend a lot of money to defend your rights. She also seems to be anti Law Enforcement, so my advice is, if you end up in her court room, you better have a good attorney and lots of money to protect your rights.

Judge Landau is a fish out of water in civil cases. Never appeared in front of her in criminal cases. She is bright articulate, starts as friendly, and then if she disagrees with you - watch out! Pre-Judges issues and says very random things in open court. She is very impatient in listening, if she has already made up her mind.
