What others have said about Hon. Daniel B. Proud

Civil Litigation - Govt.

Comment #: CA19994
Judge Proud has major memory issues. His inability to remember what happened at a prior hearing drastically effects his ability to determine if one party is lying and that in turn allows that party to continue to lie hearing after hearing. I agree with other comments that judge Proud is starting to show senile dementia and needs to retire. Just by being allowed to sit on the bench he unfortunately is doing much more harm than good. My wife currently has a family law issue against her ex husband in Dept 5 with Judge Proud and he has made bad rulings. Of course it doesn't help when most attorneys commit gross incompetence and gross negligence.

Comment #: CA16006
This joke of a judge granted a restraining order against me literally for calling my children during the court ordered date/time for my phone calls. It was granted to my ex father in law. I called to talk to my kids, he picked up and began yelling at me and threatening me. After I hung up on him, he filed a restraining order against me for harassment for the ONE phone call, where he admited on the stand that I was calling to talk to my kids. The “Honorable” Judge Proud granted it and yelled at me not to “bother this man anymore”. This old man needs to retire because he is obviously beginning to become senile.
