Comments:
Hwang chooses a side from the start.[Redacted by Ed.] known for doing great harm to people. Very discriminatory towards Asians.

Litigant

Comment #: CA40219
Rating:1.0
Comments:
Narc-friendly judge, and has an inability to make decisions after 2021:

Prior to December 2020, Judge Hwang made drastic decisions without clear foresight. It eventually led to an adult suicide and murder of a child. After that horrible situation, he stopped making any decisions at all, or acquiesced to settling for half of what one litigant asked for; regardless of what was right or wrong. I'm surprised that with his DV background, he couldn't recognize abusive litigants with respect to financial abuse, and child abuse as well. Overall, he was not a fair judge. This judge is so unqualified, that there are support groups that were created just because of the trauma he inflicted due to his poor judgement.

Rating:10.0
Comments:
Judge Hwang is technical. You need to have a researched position. He's fair and open to discourse. He doesn't suffer drama.he also doesn't suffer litigants that waste the court's valuable resources.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: CA34140
Rating:1.0
Comments:
This judge shows his bias. He prefers certain attorneys and allows them to disrespect the other side without interruption. If you happen to be on the other side you can't say anything without being considered disrespectful. The attorney that he favored called our side liars, yelled at us, and constantly interrupted us. However when we would try and interject, we were called rude.
It's sad that a bias individual has so much control and there's nothing we can do about it.

Civil Litigation - Private

does not read pleadings very well. Just makes decision based upon least work for him. Does not really know family law well. SF court is screwed up and he is part of the system.
