Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:8.7
Comments:
Judge Janavs is highly intelligent and has an ability to go right to the salient questions in the matters before her. She doesn't suffer fools gladly, and one encounters too many foolish lawyers in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Does this make her a "mean" judge? I think not. If you are well-prepared and have developed a cogent argument in support of your position, you will appreciate the focus and the intellect she will bring to bear on the issues presented by your case. On the other hand, if you haven't prepared and you show up with some rambling excuses for this, that and the other you failed to do, well, she won't have much patience with you. But that will be your fault, not hers. I love appearing before her.

Probably the meanest judge I have ever been in front of in 17 years of practice. Thankfully, my tax dollars are no longer paying her.
