He is a terrible judge. I had a restraining order case that he dismissed because our stories didn’t match. Of course people will defend themselves. If I want a restraining order is because I want to feel safe and he couldn’t grant me that, because of insufficient evidence. The judicial system is sick and unfair. I guess I have to die and continue to be abused psychologically and physically for it to be granted. He doesn’t deserve to be a judge or a father. Imagine his daughter going through the same thing, I doubt he’d dismiss her case. I hope he never has a daughter if this is how he will handle this case. Corrupt system. I was afraid. I was drained and you allowed my abuser to walk out of there with pride after lying to your face. Disappointing judge. He should be removed.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: CA10296
He is such an unscrupulous man who only cared to go home early every day. He would tell his bailiff to talk to defendants in custody and convince them to represent themselves so they would not have the benefit of having a lawyer explain their rights and possible defenses.

Did every in his power to coerce people to take plea deals so he would not have to handle a jury trial. If a trial was done before him, you have to pray for an acquittal otherwise Ramirez is all to eager to remand the client. The sentence would be onerous and sets up the client to fail and just do jail time.

Horrible site judge when Whittier Court was still in operation.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA5374
Good judge. He has a very narrow view regarding exceptions to hearsay. It appears that solely 1271 matters despite the existence of many exceptions to that exclusionary rule. Point is, do not go to court here without a custodian who works at the company for each document you offer. Presumably 100 assignments would require 100 witnesses. Other than this particular viewpoint, the man is a very good judge. I would trust him with any case, just not one involving a client who is the assignee of a legal right without the practical ability to produce a live assignor.
