I had him in my criminal case. He was at that time sneaky and had me believe I was getting out with time served and 3 yrs of formal probation. I found out after looking at the paperwork and talking to my probation officer that he gave me a 8 year joint suspension. I was also only charged originally with 2 counts and ended up leaving his courtroom with a total of 9 new charges that were carefully inputted to make my crime worse than it was. He stated that "if you are arrested for anything then I'm giving you 8 years." I'm back in his courtroom today for a restitution hearing and it's COVID19 season. I made it on time and was turned away for not having a mask. (Walmart provides masks for you if you don't have one. But the state of California doesn't. Wow!) So now I'm late and they called my name already. I'm sitting outside of Dept N room 530 in Pomona CA. If you don't see another comment from me then my restitution hearing (which should be no big deal) will have turned into a violation of my probation and I was giving 8 years. If that happens then he gets a 0 score rating for the obvious reason.a

He is excellent. Had him in trial and in another complex criminal pre-trial case.. He is sharp, firm, and fair. If you are professional and prepared then he is your perfect judge. I like that he holds prosecutors to the same standard that he held himself to as a prosecutor. Always enjoy being in his court.
