Criminal Defense Lawyer

This judge does not understand the role of a court in crafting indicated sentences and sees her role more like that of a D.A. making offers, creating esoteric rules about what she interprets date settings to mean. She will listen to both sides of an issue but will usually side with the D.A. She also likes to micromanage to a fault.

Judge Robinson is an excellent trial judge, and every experience I have had in her courtroom has been an experience with a judge of integrity and professionalism. I perceived no bias whatsoever despite the fact that my client had a felony case pending after our misdemeanor trial. Not only did Judge Robinson conduct a fair trial, she granted a directed verdict for acquittal... after which, the DA asked to ADD charges! I objected vehemently and, was furious (for a few seconds) when she allowed the added charges -- then swiftly acquitted my client on those as well, without skipping a beat.
Judge Robinson is a very classy and bright judge -- its all serious to her, so don't look for a funny, light-hearted courtroom experience. You won't find it. Go in professional and expect a real courtroom.
Truly, the first time I was in a criminal courtroom in OC, I was appalled, DA's carrying coffee cups and calling the judge "Hey Judge" (instead of Good Morning Your Honor). Defense attorneys with dirty hair stuck up in a plastic clip, bare legs and too short skirts.
There is decorum and respect FROM this judge, I suggest acting accordingly in her courtroom -- as it should be in EVERY courtroom. Judge Robinson holds the bar high for herself and others. But the important thing is - she is smart and unbiased.

California people should get rid of these bad judges, especially the ones who feel that they can do anything they like while on the bench.

I appeared before Judge Robinson on a Small Clains action which my Homeowners Association had appealed.

She had not read my complaint and she did not have the Civil Codes which were applicable to my case with her, she had to ask for them.

She did not address the issue and spent a lot of time on something she had no idea about. Homeowners Associations' accounting records.

I had given the applicable code in my complaint and she completely ignored it.

She needs to get her act together before appearing in Court and be conversant with the action she is supposed to be "judging".

She is a person of no integrity, apparently willing to make rulings she knows are incorrect to avoid making waves or displeasing her fellow judges. She is remarkably fluent in doublespeak.
