Judge Cahraman is a fantastically knowledgeable probate judge. I wish we could clone him. He is a fountain of knowledge and takes the time to make sure all i's are dotted and t's crossed while also being very approachable and pleasant, especially with pro per plaintiffs.

Horrible Judge, just dreadful!!!

He seems like one of those old timers who needs to be put out to pasture with all of the other retired judges...or he should get a job at JAMS.

And BEWARE he is a former Plaintiff's attorney and proud of his bias toward plaintiff litigants. He was wrong in his ruling and I let him know at the end of the hearing that I disagreed with his ruling and the prejudicial crap that came flying out of his mouth.

Run don't walk as far away from this biased judge as you can!!!

He didn't wish to deal with a civil litigation issue in probate with their limited reources, so threw my Special Needs Trust under the bus by ruling in favor of the Trustee's Sale Buyer who got the home based on my late sister's self-dealing actions as former trustee. This took place in 2016, beofre they added a second probate department in 2017. The former trustee took out loans for her own gain against the trust title by deeding it to herself, but the lender admitted seeing the illegal transfer of title done before the loan was done, so they had clear "notice" & had a "duty to make inquiry". Lost the home under trust that had previously been in my family for 51 years, ruined my life as last-of-my-line, & forced me into homelessness for 3 years living out of a car, before I recently managed to get an apartment at age 60. Had I known before-the-fact, that he gave himself away by making comments at a october hearing to the effect, that he would wrap up the case by the end of the year but prior to the final hearing on the pleadings & his ruling, even though we had a late november limited scope trial that would have led to a litigation trial the next year,I would have immediately requested that he recuse himself.

Did not follow the spirit of the law. If you are not from Riverside, expect to get "hometowned." Can't imagine him in Probate.

This judge is prejudiced and loves to hear himself speak. He has a predetermined decision of a party and thinks he knows everything about every subject. This is one judge who should be removed from the bench. HE causes more problems and increases attorney fees and costs due specifically to his arrogance and obnoxious behavior, He speaks down to people like they are 5. he also is very rude to attorneys

He is the worst judge I have ever encountered. He needs to be removed from the bench. He should not be allowed to hear probate. He is only willing to shift the cases to the Public Guardian?. He also does not know the difference between a trust and conservatorship compensation.

I am appalled by Judge Thomas Cahraman. He should not be the Judge assigned to Probate overseeing Guardian & Conservatorships. I sat in court today a friend of women who's family was seeking Conservatorship of her due to a serious medical condition. Before the case was heard I watched and cringed as he spoke to family members of other cases. Just plain rude. Someone needs to monitor Cahramans actions and see how he treats people in his court room. Long winded, wants to be the attorney and the judge in the room. I watched case after case where this judge denied able bodied family members from managing their love ones affairs and money, instead assigning it over the the Public Guardian's office. Each time informing the Conservatee and their family that it would only cost them a few hundred dollars a month a month from their assets to have the county manage their money. This is crazy when you have family members that are willing to do this for free. I just wonder hope much of the Public Guardian's monthly income is derived from Judge Carhaman's assignments. After 2 1/2 hours in the courtroom today I just could not believe the injustice I witnessed.

Very, very wise. A superb and conscientious judge. Treats people with firmness but respect. He thinks out loud - which is a big plus - but as he talks out loud deliberating on the bench he playing devil's advocate back and forth which is very insightful, but it can lead to misunderstandings by some unsophisticated litigants who don't appreciate hearing commentary that goes against them and might misconstrue it as providing unfair advocacy for the other team.
