What others have said about Hon. Craig G. Riemer

Civil Litigation - Private

Judge Riemer has a jeckyll and hyde complex. Some days he is pleasant and professional. Other days, for no apparent reason, he is outrageously unprofessional. If you get him on a good day, then you'll like him. If it's a bad day, wow!

intelligence and patience in handling current assignment of case management in Dept 1, not an easy assignment.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA24438
Judge Riemer is rude and disrespectful to counsel (even mocking counsel in open court), and pedantic in the extreme. His courtroom decorum is not appropriate for a judge.

Capable of very unjudicial conduct. Assumes facts and can easily be duped by game-playing counsel.

I was very impressed with Judge Riemer. He is thoughtful and very bright. He is more concerned with the right outcome than he is with a fast outcome and I appreciate that since defendants are the ones who get hurt with haste and ignorance.
Judge Riemer is soft spoken and asks questions -- I have heard arrogant, (ignorant) attorneys complain, as if trial is a stage show and their momentum is most important.
I would always be thrilled to be assigned to Judge Riemer for trial. HE treats everyone well, and he knows the law. Best, he is not afraid to say, "Let me look into this" instead of making a decision he is not sure about. He is an excellent judge.

Not the sharpest tool in the judicial shed. Lacks intellect, as do most of these appointed state level judges. Maybe he tries too hard to impress private counsel appearing before him, who make double his judicial salary... who knows, but he is one strange duck...

One of the very few judges in Riverside and all the surrounding counties who has the right background, the best work ethic and the perfect temperament. Fortunate are the litigants who find themselves in Judge Riemer's courtroom.

I am a Defendant in this case filed by Association. The lawsuit was filed to recover $ 502 of Association fees. Association has spent over $ 90,000+ in attorney fees. The Jury trial started on July 30, 2014. Hon. Judge Riemer is taking his own time to understand the law to give the Judgment. The trial is continued on February 27, 2015. I am pleased that Judge is taking his time to understand the complex ever-changing law.In short, amazing Judge.
