Why is Sacramento/CJP not holding Judge Cadei accountable for clear violations of Judicial Cannons? Fraud is rampant only because it is going unchecked by those in power.

Does not read briefs and does not care about case law. Creates more work for the courts.

Comment #: CA8594
Judge Cadei does not appear to be impartial in his employment law decisions. He openly favors employers / unions versus individual defendants.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA8471
In a SJ hearing, Judge Cadei excluded our evidence clearly showing a triable issue of material fact however, defense counsel offered the same evidence which was actually admitted. When referring the court's attention to said exhibit of the defense, Judge Cadei refused to consider it, granted summary judgment and gave absolutely no legal basis for his decisions.

Fair no-nonsense judge that is very legally sophisticated. Whether I'm representing the plaintiffs or the defendant, I'd take him every time.

One of the most intellectual judges on the bench in Sacramento. Excellent attention to the facts of the case through a lenghty trial. Be prepared to answer tough questions that expose weaknesses.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA1917
I have had one court trial with Judge Cadei. I found him to be unfailingly polite, very bright and knowledgeable - both on substantive and evidentiary law. Attorneys appearing before him should be prepared to answer questions that cut to the heart of their case

I had one trial with Judge Cadei which hinged on plaintiff's credibility. Judge Cadei denied plaintiff's request to admit certain photographs into evidence based on an erroneous understanding of the law on authentication and foundation. I learned to be prepared to challenge him on evidentiary rulings including filing interlocutory appeals.
