Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: CA46264
Rating:1.0
Comments:
Ignores the fact that individuals portray themselves at attorneys. Even with proof he doesn’t care. Doesn’t care about conflict of interests among lawyers.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA40324
Rating:4.6
Comments:
Strongly pro-defendant in civil cases, especially when the defendant is a public entity. His background as a defense attorney representing public entities is obvious. Does not prepare and seems to rely heavily on research attorney for rulings.

Litigant

Comment #: CA39461
Rating:2.0
Comments:
His personal feelings and his ego rule. He won't admit he made a mistake, would not reconsider a position, and refused to be fully briefed on a new case. Poorly prepared, made very damaging rulings. Did not follow the law, just his gut instinct. Favors defendants even when burden of evidence is in Plaintiff's side

Canon 2 ....A Judge should respect and comply with the law at all times. This Judge rules on personal feelings NOT THE LAW! Appeals we will prevail law is law!

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA33694
Rating:4.2
Comments:
Friendly and calm, but does little research or preparation and favors civil defendants/cops. Doesn't understand the economics of litigation. He made several errors.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: CA32509
Rating:10.0
Comments:
thoughtful and fair.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA27794
Rating:8.5
Comments:
Very fair. Ruled against me in many issues and motions, but at times changed his mind based on further research and additional briefing. Puts the law first.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA24875
Rating:3.6
Comments:
I've been in front of him twice now and his attitude toward me and my position is supercilious; he does not like to change his tentative, even if the other side did not oppose our motion or opposed it very little and
his decision is against law (his standard statement in response to that argument is he "disagrees" or the cases I quote are "distinguishable"). I don't think he reads anything I write, like another judge I have encountered. He may also be prejudiced against women: I'm the only one in our case before him and he consistently rules against me.
