Judge Tomberin, a couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure to serve as a prospective juror in your court room. It is not my practice to respond to judge's conduct or demeanor in a court room but, as a retired professor of political science, and US embassy service, I thought, given your outstanding court room demeanor that I share a tidbit with you. As a witness you have set a standard for excellence and have accomplished that goal. I didn't make it through the voir dire process in a harassment case but was struck by your pronunciation of "VOIR DIRE." One of my several embassy assignments was in Paris so I will, in support of the French language, suggest you discontinue your version of pronouncing "Voir Dire. That is pronouncing "dire" as in "tire". Rather pronounce dire as in "deer". No biggie just a suggestion. Great judge!

The experiences our office has had with him on the civil side have been all positive. He has been evenhanded and thoughtful about the issues. In trial he does not insert himself into the prosecution or defense and lets the lawyers try their case. Good experience.

This judge was presiding over a civil hearing of ours. The other side pre-wrote a court order for him and he was so lazy that he didn't even bother to read it, just crossed off the word "proposed" in the "Proposed Court order". Naturally the order was worded in a one sided manner ... it was so bad that cops were called several times because the other party tried to execute it like they were the king and queen of France. He then refused to hear our side of the argument. Basically very emotional and un-objective. Avoid this judge unless he likes you. Also this is just subjective but having dealt with people like that before he does seem to have an issue with females.

Was in this clown's courtroom to support a female friend seeking a restraining order against an abusive ex. This judge was incredibly rude to her. He should be taken off the bench... There was no cause for his abusive outburst. The consensus seems to be that he is a hardcore alcoholic.
