Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: CA7124
He has nice enough demeanor, but if you are not from SB, forget it. He plays to the local lawyers, most of whom are clowns, and his trouble going against the good ole boys even when it is obviously wrong. He is the definition of a "home town" judge in a town that is homely.

Judge Vander Feer is the best trial judge I have seen in almost 40 years of civil practice. Absolutely fair and evenhanded. Smart. Pleasant. Makes decisions. A credit to the bench. Wish they were all like him.

A very evenly tempered judge who treats litigants, counsel and jurors with respect while maintaining firm control of his courtroom. Solid on evidence issues. It was a pleasure to try a case before him.
